McGill's ChuckWagon

There's not many eating choices between Jet and Woodward, my last and next stops on the road today. But, I'm grateful McGills is on the route!I'm very particular about chicken fried steak...and their Top Hand dinner is top notch. First of all, the steak is huge, obviously hand breaded, tender (I could almost cut it with a plastic fork) and the perfect blend of meat and breading. It was as fresh and hot as the green beans and hand cut French fries.I don't do gravy so I can't speak to their gravy but why would anyone bury such a delicious CF steak in gravy anyway?The fries were excellent, cooked perfectly and generous in portion and the green beans were also delicious, cooked with bacon. The dinner was topped off with a tasty piece of toasted bread.I make my rounds in the Oklahoma panhandle and NW Oklahoma about once a year and I HOPE I will be back through during lunch time next year. What a great find McGill's ChuckWagon Cafe is!

Top Hand of Chicken Fried Steak, topped with mashed potatoes, white gravy, corn to top it off. Huge serving! I had enough for 3 meals.

The Cowboy Fries are my go to. Always good and fresh. The rest of the menu is awesome as well. HUGE chicken fry steaks, great smoked meats, and you have to try some of their J$ Seasoning. Like the label says, "It makes $hit taste better". I buy some for home and it's great on just about everything. Great owners and food. Only reason I dont have it as a 5 star is the days open. They also run a food trailer at local events so they randomly close at times. All in all, it's a great place to eat and I definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.
