Maverick’s Steakhouse

Tried this place again because it's supposed to be better. It's worse. Do not spend your hard earned money there. Spent $70+ for 2 people. Horrible food. Steak is undercooked. Beans are old and funny tasting. My wife's fries taste like oil and have no substance to them. The shrimp bang bang was a mess. 2 or 3 pieces were ok. We didn't finish most of our order. My KC strip was tough and didn't "feel" like a KC strip. I buy whole roasts and cut down at home. This was too large and didn't have the correct texture. Prices are still out of sight for even the correct cuts. I think they are substituting cheap cuts to make more money. Our waitress was polite and seemed new. Only mistake she made was being water instead of our sodas. No big deal. I gave her a tip because it's not her fault the food was substandardIt's sad when you cannot get a good meal in your home town in the evenings unless you want Mexican or Italian (pizza). They added .50 for the gravy when it's supposed to have 2 sides included

Tried the Ribeye. Thin and undercooked for me. Came with two sides - nothing above average. Full bar. Service friedly. Street parking.

We had a nice, quick lunch while in Concordia to visit the nearby Orphan Train Museum. Great menu of hamburgers, salads and meat dishes. The patty melt was great! Lots of sweet caramelized onions on fresh rye bread with Swiss cheese and a large patty. The Cobb Salad with very good, too. We appreciated the fast and attentive service so we could get on our way.

Worst meal I've had in months- The side veggies were mushy, 50% of my childrens order was missing along with 60% of the grilled shrimp and the rest was burned. I called right after I got home with the order and was told everyone makes mistakes sometimes and was hung up on!! Never go there again-

We stoped in for supper. Met Brittany the owner and had the stuffed chicken dinner. The mashed potatoes were real and the carrots in a sauce were fresh carrots. The meal was delightful and the service was great. She served it with a house fresh roll. We were just rolling through but we hope to come back. We drove from Wyoming today to get here. Keep up the good work kids. Found out the restaurant was named after their son. Husband was cooking and Brittany was our waitress the owner.

Been eating here since it re-opened as Mavericks a couple years ago. The food was really good at first. But quality of steak and service tonight was not what I expect of a steakhouse. We ordered a KC strip Medium Well and a Ribeye medium rare. The KC strip had an overpowering char taste but was actually rare cook inside. The ribeye was cooked well done with some odd rare spots. Over the course of the meal, we were not asked by our server to cut our steaks on delivery to check doneness. And we're never asked how the food or meal was. None of the empty plates from the appetizer or salad course were removed from the table. The portion size was large enough with an appetizer that I could not finish my meal. We were not offered a box, but had to ask for it when the server came back to collect the check.Unfortunately this will be out last visit to our hometown steakhouse.

The food was really bland and thrown all over the place. I don't know if it was because we were black, but no one else food look like such. I'm furious at the was this restaurant hands out their food to paying customers.

Absolutely delicious! Tender and wonderfully seasoned steak (ribeye), the baked Mac and Cheese and rice pilaf were both very good, and my son's fish and chips were the best he's ever had. Excellent homemade ranch dressing.

Second time here , both times ordered the large ribeye , steak was so salty that I couldn't eat it , I ordered it to go , 40$ in the garage, don't waste your money . I will not give them a third try , will never be back...

Very good food and portions. Quick and friendly wait staff as well. Their steaks are very fine indeed.
