The food was outstanding. Who can go wrong when it's named after your mom? It's great home cooking!Wait staff was friendly, fleet of foot, ready to get you anything you needed in a busy, bustling atmosphere. The decor was homey, the bathrooms well stocked, plenty of room to eat so you don't feel crowded.Prices are decent. We'll be back!

Friday evening. An hour plus drive from Wichita but a peaceful, relaxing drive and the payoff was delicious food.

Ordered the large chicken fry steak, wow my eyes are bigger than stomach. Steak was cooked proper and tasted really well. Steaks were 95% meat and was tender, great home cooking. Service staff was excellent waiting on you from time you set down to being finished. Surrounding was clean and lighting was good. Thanks for the great meal.

My wife and I both had chicken fried steak and it was okay. It looked really good but it was a tough and gristled piece of meat that was lacking some flavor. It was not bad, but again, it was really tough. I would rate this chicken fried steak about a 4 or 5 and I don't think I would order it again.

Regular chicken fry was has huge. Meat had a lot of gristle and was hard to cut and chew. Order came out quickly and I am pretty sure that the steaks were cooked a few hours earlier and had sat under a heat lamp. Lacked flavor. Salad bar was out of lettuce so we notified the staff and after a ten minute wait we gave up on the salad portion. Operating a restaurant in small town america is a tough road and we wish them well, however we won't make that drive again.

We ate here for lunch towards the end of June, 2023. We really wanted to love this place and we think we might have just chose the wrong thing by ordering the buffet. We wished we would've ordered something else as all of the pics we've seen online look great, which is why we came here. Our experience: The salad and rice were good. The rest of it was not. All of the stir fry items were nothing more than meat with sliced onion and broth, so.. two items in the stir fry. The Yum Yum chicken tasted ok but not great, not much meat but mostly breading with a sweet sauce. The mac & cheese was not good, cheese was clumpy. If we come back we won't get the buffet and will order off the menu. We also wished they had put some flooring inside, not appealing and seemed strange. Hate to leave a not so great review but this was our experience.

We went there for breakfast for the first time today. As far as breakfast goes it is standard diner fair but made so much better than the standard diner. The biscuits were homemade and excellent, the gravy was homemade and well made. The loaded has browns were very good and cooked well. My wife had bacon and eggs with hash browns and toast and while that seems simple its amazing how many places can't cook bacon and eggs correctly. The guy at the register was incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed the place. We will be back.
