Margaritas Cantina

The food is just simply not very good. My friends and I went after work on a Tuesday for some margs. We asked the waitress what the Taco Tuesday special was, and she said "half price a la carte tacos, and half off the Tres Tacos meal." So I ordered 2 tacos a la carte, and sautéed shrimp a la carte. When the food came, the chicken taco was pretty spicy and dry. The beef taco was alright. The shrimp smelled very fishy, and it was on a plate in a pool of oil (I think?) and burnt seasonings. Everything was hardly warm. Honestly it was terrible. Then, our check comes.... And the tacos were not half off. I'm sorry but.... If you're a waitress, you should know the specials. And if you don't, you need to ask. Very frustrating.Oh also..... they ran out of limes. What in the world a place called Margaritas.... Served me a tequila shot with a lemon.

First time for us. We went there for a birthday party and found our new favorite Mexican restaurant! A fun environment with fantastic food.

Went here for dinner and drinks with a couple coworkers and really enjoyed it. They have a great happy hour from 3-6pm Monday-Friday with $3 large margaritas and $5 nachos (which can feed a whole family no joke). I ordered the sour cream enchiladas which were delicious. Wasn't a huge fan of their salsa but had a great experience overall.

Service was good but not the food. The band always does a good job entertaining. I like how this place is for different age group. Got the chicken taco and I was not impressed. Too dry with just chicken n lettuce with no sauce at all. Rice had no flavor. I will come back for entertainment but not the food.

Been eating here since the 90's. Even waited out an actual tornado that hit the neighborhood behind the bar that used to be in the center of the restaurant. All I can say is I never order anything but the tres tacos dinner because they are made perfectly. Chicken, flour,fried.. the end. No really.. the tacos have such a unique flavor to them that I've tried to duplicate at home but never can get the seasoning of the chicken right. They serve the perfect mexican rice.. so I usually ask for double rice. Truly a nostalgic place for me when I'm in town visiting from Fort Worth now.

I think it is pretty shady when a place charges you a cover to enter, then once you enter they insist you buy an alcoholic beverage every time you want a water / refill on water. What about people who don't drink? I won't be returning here or recommending it to anyone who is interested in a place like this to visit. It is like their promoting drinking and driving to their customers. No Bueno Margaritas!

We ordered take out: chicken fajitas and sour cream enchiladas. Using the Toast app the total cost was over $40. The service was polite, pleasant and efficient at pick up and the app messaged when the order was ready. However, the food just wasn't worth what it cost. My chicken was overdone. I had requested the vegetables to be barely crunchy and the peppers were barely cooked at all. The enchiladas were just so so.

I come here often , I just saw the most disgusting thing happen while I was sitting at my table . I watched the owner sucking on a straw tasting drinks he made at the bar , he licked the straw up and down then stuck into another drink to taste it ! AND SOLD THE DRINK . I couldn't believe my eyes . I'm disturbed . I am currently watching the customer drink the drink and I can't believe my eyes . I think I'll sit at the bar while my drinks being made from here on .

This place has been an I C.T. nightlife staple for over 30yrs, in all my travels and hell raising, this is where I feel at home. The food is honestly good, it sometimes is effected by human error. But truly it's all a matter of opinion, and perception. Don't get me wrong I've had imperfect meals there that could've been prevented, but service with Danette is always entertaining, she's funny, honest and kind. Makes the long wait u may encounter sometimes worth it.
