If you blink, you might miss this hidden gem! This small Chinese and Korean restaurant is tucked off the road, with parking conveniently located in the back. When we walked in, the place was empty, so seating ourselves was simple. The walls are covered with pictures of patrons from the past 30 years, which the waitress proudly pointed out. I absolutely loved this charming touch--it made the space feel warm and full of history.I ordered hot jasmine tea and the beef bulgogi with kimchi, while my dad had iced tea with the same dish. The menu lets you choose the spice level--mild, medium, or hot. My dad went for mild, and I chose medium. While I didn't find the spice level particularly strong, the flavors were incredible. The beef bulgogi was tender and filled with veggies. The kimchi added a delightful tang and crunch. There were three options of kimchi, the Napa cabbage, cucumber, or green bean. The cabbage was delicious and the cucumber was so refreshing. My jasmine tea was aromatic and delicious! No sweetner necessary. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for authentic, flavorful food. The service was excellent, and it feels great to support a small business with such a rich history. I highly recommend checking it out!

Driving by here on our way to Nebraska and my Yelp search for Korean food led us here. Don't let the seemingly outdated and rough facade discourage you from going in. On face value, there is absolutely nothing flashy on the exterior (and interior). We walk in and immediately we get the sense of "home". This is THE type of mom-and-pop businesses that I'm very much eager to support. We were greeted by the cheerful elderly owners and even though we had mentioned we're getting our food to-go, the pop gave each one of us a glass of water. Look around and the walls are adorned with taped up pictures of people that's been there before us. There's a sense of pride from the owners and it's very heartwarming. Now let's talk about flavors... I'm a tough critic on Asian cuisine (being Asian myself). And I've been to numerous Korean restaurants. In fact, just last week, hubby and I spent our 15th anniversary at a Korean BBQ restaurant in downtown Houston. The food prepared here is nothing like any other Korean ones I've had before. I ordered the Beef Bul Go Kee and I'm in love! I can tell the kimchi is also homemade (it was a combination of green beans, cucumbers, and cabbage). Hubby got the Beef Curry meal and he devoured that whole thing up too! There's something really unique about how they flavored their dishes (at least from these two that we ordered). I'm sure we will be driving through Wichita everytime we visit the in-laws in Nebraska and I'll make sure to come by here again to try their other dishes. Beautiful people run this place.Amazing food is being served. Whichita, you are blessed to have them around! Locals, go support them!!!

Ordered the spicy seafood soup and the black bean noodles. The black bean noodles had a slightly sweet, savory, and umami punch. The noodles were soft but a little firm. Garnished with cucumbers to balance the flavor profile. The seafood soup reminded me of being at home with my mom's cooking. It tasted extremely similar to hers and the ingredients tasted fresh. All in all, the owners were extremely nice and obviously care about the food they put out. Cheers!

Manna Wok Oriental Restaurant is a no-frills, family-owned Korean spot in Wichita serving up classic dishes in a casual, hole-in-the-wall environment. To start, we ordered the yaki mandu, or pan-fried dumplings, which came with a soy vinegar dipping sauce. While the dumpling skins weren't quite as crispy as we expected, the filling of pork and vegetables inside was tasty. For our main courses, we tried the stir fry rice cake and the stone bowl bi bim rice. The stir fry rice cake was loaded up with carbs between the chewy rice cake and plentiful white rice underneath. It could have used a bit more beef for balance. The stone bowl bi bim rice came out sizzling in a hot stone bowl and was piled with veggies, egg, and gochujang. While it lacked some flavor, we just added some additional gochujang we had on our table. Manna Wok also provided some complimentary kimchi sides. The service was slower paced, with the older couple running the restaurant as the only staff we saw. The interior feels cramped but has loads of character, with photos covering the walls showing their long history serving the local community.

Ordered beef bulgogi bec they ran out of their gal bee; rice was sublime, seasoning of bulgogi couldn't be any better; kimchi was out of this world. Service was polite and quick. Background music was perfect. Thanks Kody and Makayla!

Here is a Korean couple chasing the American dream. This little "Mom and Pop" restaurant goes the extra mile to produce authentic Korean cuisine, lovingly prepared (freshly on the spot) with good-sized portions, and delightfully flavorful! Lately they've been producing a lot of takeout orders from those who have had to avoid crowds, but that didn't diminish the foods they produce. You can phone in your order and it likely will be hot and fresh when you arrive. If you are experienced Korean food lovers or someone curious enough to try it, you won't be disappointed. They willingly tailor the heat to your liking. Myself, having spent a year in Korea courtesy of the military, I came to appreciate the unique flavors of Korean food and find myself still "scratching that itch" now and then.
