I needed a quick meal on the way through the area and Chinese was my great fortune! Nice workers and yummy food.

So good I stuffed myself! My wife and I were out and about in Kansas and stopped here for lunch. We both ordered General Tso's chicken with fried rice and egg roll, crab rangoon, and fried wontons. All these items are your standard fare at a Chinese restaurant. While it may be standard fare, the food had flavor and a wonderful taste! The chicken was not greasy, but evenly coated with the sauce and the smaller pieces mean they were slightly crunchy and perfect to mix with your rice. It also had a wonderful taste...sweet, sticky, with just the slightest hint of heat. The rice was spot on, cooked well, and the egg roll was fried and perfectly sized for a meal. Our side orders were delicious. I'm picky when it comes to crab rangoon and these were perfect! Not bland cream cheese fried in a shell (yuck) but they had a soft sweet creamy interior, perfectly fried to a crispy exterior. The fried wontons were also done perfectly and had flavor! That's the theme for this restaurant: flavor. So much Chinese food has no flavor or little of it. In addition, the interior is clean, bathrooms tidy and clean, and you can tell the owner(s) take pride in their restaurant. If you like Chinese food at good prices and with great flavor then check out Lucky Star. We'll be back when driving through.

Lucky Star is owned by an amazing Asian family who love to create authentic Asian food for the community. Very good at what they do. I love the chicken broccoli but have seen others meals and I have second guessed my choice more than once. Habits die hard. Some day I will change my order, I doubt I will be disappointed.

We love it there. We have tried so many of the items on the menu and everyone is delicious. I personally love their hot and sour soup, it's perfectly balanced, not so spicy that your mouth burns but just enough heat that you can taste the different levels of flavor. My husband is torn between the won ton soup and the egg drop soup. In too many Chinese restaurants the egg drop soup is bland, not so at Lucky Star. It's absolutely perfect. The Won ton soup has so much flavor you can't stop eating it. My son said next to my chicken soup Lucky Star has the best. The egg rolls are excellent as are the pot stickers and crab ragoons. We can't decide what we like best since they are all so tasty.There is a wide selection of entrees and combinations to choose from. Each time we've ordered food it is always consistently tasty. While the items are standard fare at Chinese restaurants they somehow manage to excel, each bite of food makes your taste buds do a happy dance as the flavors wash over them. The beef is tender, the chicken never dry, and the portions are very generous. They have specials on the board when you first walk in that aren't on the menu and are well worth the try. Too many times a restaurant may have excellent food but the staff is their downfall. Lucky Star is a family owned restaurant that makes you feel welcomed. They are very friendly and provide excellent service. If you are having a bad day their cheerful attitude will make you feel better. The food is always brought hot, our drinks are always filled right before they run out. Normally our family of 5 can never agree on where we want to eat but Lucky Star is the one restaurant we always agree on.

Good food and excellent service, we call in an order weekly. Good value also. We will continue to use this high quality food vendor. Keep up the good work.

Amazing food, some of the best cream cheese wontons I've ever had, great service they're always super fast and a good selection! Also recommend the sesame chicken :)))
