Lovewell Marina & Grill

Amazing food. All of it is very good but the flatbread pizzas are worth the drive!!! We miss it in the Winter when they are closed.

I was really surprised when I ate at the Lovewell Marina & Grill. From the outside, it appears to be a small bait shop at the lake, selling camping and fishing gear that you may have forgot at home. When we went inside and saw that they sold food, we asked them if they had a menu and they pointed to a white board. Me and my son wanted pizza, the daughter wanted a cheeseburger and my wife wanted the chicken fried steak meal. We ordered and paid then waited out on the patio. As we waited I was thinking "Great, we just paid gourmet pizza prices for some frozen Totino's cardboard pizza." I was so wrong! The pizzas here are delicious, homemade and huge. The boy and I ended up taking half of the pizza home with us, as did my wife with her chicken fried steak that she said was some of the best she ever had. Lovewell Marina and Grill is a neat hidden gem that's a must if you're at Lovewell State Park.
