Love's Travel Stop

Easy rest stop with plenty of clean restrooms!! Lots of nice souvenirs too and with a Hardee's attached to it.

We stayed at the Loves RV stop for one night. Booking a spot online was extremely easy and convenient. Our dogs enjoyed the well maintained dog park. All the RV spots are cement with surrounding grass. Close to the highway and other amenities. We plan to stay here anytime we travel through the McPherson area.

Recently my dad visited this location. Stated clean, well laid out. Said the man in an orange shirt-staff-was very helpful in finding gifts for his 5 & 7 year old granddaughters. 2 key chains which they LOVE. Each got 1.1 had her name on it & the other said I love cats He always brings back nick knacks for them when he travels.My dad, a Honorably Discharged Military Veteran of many years of service, also re-laid some information concerning the General Manager- an Older lady that I find appalling. He was there to interview for a vacant position in the restaurant for which they are urgently hiring.He drove from Wichita to McPherson & arrived early to the agreed upon interview time which is normal for him no matter where he goes.She, General Manager, an older lady-glass's-grey hair-late 50's/mid 60's-med height/build-stated former LEO, was very cold in manner, stated that his service in the US Military didn't matter/was discounted. When she presented a situation & asked him to state how he would deal with the situation as she stated & he answered she became very hostile, offensive, non-open minded. All this & more took place during the interview with the Restaurant manager also present during this time. A Mr. Davis I find this to be disturbing. Not only to my dad but to all Military Veterans who Honorably Served. As well as my Husband who is currently serving in the US Air Force. We, our entire family, will not be stopping at this location again & have recommended to Military Veterans we know to think strongly before applying for employment for any position & even doing business with Loves Truck Plaza McPherson location.

There is a Love's RV Spot adjacent to the Love's convenience store. We needed to have some emergency automotive work done while traveling past McPherson, Kansas so we stayed at this Love's RV Spot for 3 nights. We really liked it and would highly recommend it. There were a few disappointments, but overall, an amazingly nice campground. Here are the positives: (1) Wide level concrete pad sites (2) Easy to connect brand-new electric, water and sewer hookups - electric was 50 and 30 amp and there was a nice low level lighting at the utility connection area for late night arrivals (3) Sites relatively spaced out well - not packed together. (4) Each site had a brand new steel picnic table and several sites had a small steel shelter over their picnic table (5) Two dog parks - one for dogs over 30 lbs and one for dogs under 30 lbs. The dog parks had a picnic table to sit and also poop bag dispensers and a double-gate entrance on a concrete pad (6) the trash dumpsters were enclosed by a privacy fence (7) The only access into the campground was via a closed gate that required a code (8) Two shelters could be used for RV rallys - one had a brand new barbecue grill under it (8) and amazing solid concrete tornado building - specifically built as a tornado shelter that I guess would easily hold 100+ people (9) Nice laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers that took credit cards at $3 a load (10) Two amazing shower rooms - tiled and well appointed with a double head shower and plenty of bench seating with a toilet too (11) One restroom with a baby changing station (12) a walking track around the perimeter of the campground (13) Two pickle ball/basketball courts - the sign said that you can rent the equipment from the adjoining Love's convenience store (14) Within walking distance of the Love's convenience store which had lots of food and supplies (15) within walking distance of of a Hardee's restaurant. Now, for the downsides: (A) highway 56 runs along the north side of the campground and there a lots of noisy semi trucks on that highway (B) The Love's station is a major truck stop and there is lots of noise from the trucks coming and going (C) Somewhere nearby is a train track and trains blow their horn in the night (D) There are no trees - the only shade are the few sites that have a shelter over their picnic table (E)There is grass at the perimeter sites but the center two rows of campsite are just gravel & concrete with no grass (F) Other than the shelter with the barbecue grill, there is no provision for campfires or barbecue grills at the sites (G) a few of the sites in the southwest corner look like the campers had been there for quite a while - perhaps they are employees that work at Love's? Overall, a great place and we would definitely stay here again.

This was a great stop for a weary and hungry truck driver. There are plenty of parking for big rigs and you can see trucks traveling in and out constantly. The fuel island is packed with other drivers waiting. As we walked towards the store, I noticed the scales available and the truck maintenance shop where they change tires, do oil services and light mechanic work. They also offer a Tire Pass where you can air up them tires while you're fueling. Inside the store is very spacious, clean and we'll stocked. There were many items to check out like wallets, shirts, toys, souvenirs, phone accessories, crazy gadgets even shields and viking helmets.Looking for food we walked on over to the hot box. It was right next to the closed off fountain area. While we were looking at all the food options, the guy working the fountain area told us to get the chicken fajita taco. He said that's his favorite and the biggest seller there. My husband told him that he's gotten them before and they never fill him up. That guy was funny and had us laughing in no time.We agreed on going to Hardee's that was located inside the building. Hardee's is really maintaining social distancing by posting numbers clear up to the register for customers to stay 6' apart because of the coronavirus pandemic. We ordered our food and went back into the Love's side. I probably should mention that Hardee's also has a drive through, which makes it more convenient for other vehicles.While my husband was looking at a phone booster, I found a broom for the trailer. His blew off somewhere when he left it lying on the side of the truck. An associate ( I wish I had gotten his name) came up smiling and asked us if we needed any help. We had already chose our item and met him at the register. He was super professional and so friendly. We had a great experience at Love's Travel Stop and will have to come back for that phone booster. I highly recommend this stop for big trucks.

Good prices on the gas and Diesel the store is great. Big parking lot nice and clean a lot of truck drivers pass for here !!!Buenos precios en la gasolina y diesel la tienda is estupenda. So this is a nice new travel plaza. Like many loves accross the US these centers are built to accommodate interstate traffic and provide services for your commute, road trip or pro driver needs.There is a large selection of coffee, sodas and brewed iced tea on the fountain and there are tons of other drink options available. There is a full Hardee's on the inside of you need to fix your burger craving and they have a ton of snacks and other things to find to nibble on. There are plenty of fuel islands here for gasoline and diesel. The facility is also clean which is nice and is family friendly. I think this is a great place to stop to get off of the road and take a break, fuel up and get ready to hit the road again.

I waited in line for almost 15mns just to hear "Sorry our credit card system is Down!" (No Apologies Whatsoever!) I'm a Truck Driver using Electronic Logs, 15mns is like an HOUR for us! I'll do everything I can to Avoid Loves in the Future.

My sister ran out of gas in Salina I drove from Wichita to bring her gas I was sold a defective gas can I waited with my sister for road side assistance called the store the manager ilene was disrespectful and hun up on m e called corp office they transferred me back to the store where a guy named Adam and he stated he does not know how to spell the manager name and there was nothing going to be done recorded the whole conversation now back on the phone with corporate office I go.Call Recording

This stop is very clean and friendly. Greeted by staff when we entered. We filled up and refreshed quickly!
