Good food and good service. I would say as far as Mexican the food and service was average - not the best I've had but certainly not the worst. I would go back as there aren't a lot of choices in Hugoton.

Walked right in and sat. Only a few patrons which worries me but then I looked what time it was, I realized we were there between lunch and dinner. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a shrimp and mushroom with a butter garlic sauce which does come on the side dinner. His dish was very tasty. I ordered a chimichanga not deep fried. It was supposed to have scallop, crab and shrimp. The seafood was so diced up with something else which was ok tasting but I had a dish like this in another restaurant not in the area and it was so much better. So my expectations were based on that experience. So it was just ok. Chips and dip we got were ok

We almost left, as from outside, it could not be discerned that the restaurant was open. In any case, Los Agaves was recommended to us by the hotel staff among a limited list of choices. The place appeared to be eagerly visited by locals, and I would estimate that on this midweek day, at least 1% of the town population showed up there for dinner.The menu is endless, and yet the food turned out to be of solid quality - and at large portions. Chicken fajitas, chile rellenos, and a vegi burrito all were tasty, and accompanied by house-made hot sauce and fresh tortilla chips.

OH my highly recommended Los agaves Margarita, guacamole, the Asada taco plate is delicious. So much flavor. So inexpensive with so much flavor.Do yourself a favor run to the front door.

The food was amazing! We stopped while traveling thru from NM and we're super pumped to find a great place like this. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our time. Hubby had the steak tacos and declared them worthy of expostulation and I had the pollo la crema and it was delicious!

If you live anywhere near Hugoton KS or are just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in for some great Mexican food and enjoy a margarita at this wonderful place. I've been in three times now and look forward to coming back to sample more authentic Mexican dishes in the menu...they do it right. Bt Los Angeles, CA

We stopped in Hugoton to visit a childhood friend of my wife and she suggested we meet at Los Agaves for lunch. It was a great suggestion! I ordered Chile Verde on the Supreme Lunch Specials menu at $7.99, while my wife and her friend ordered from the Lunch Specials menu at $6.99 each. This was one of the two best meals on our nineteen day 4600 mile trip.

One of my favorite restaurants while working in SW Kansas. Great caldo! Best fish and shrimp soup this side of Laredo. Karla and her husband provide Great Service and Great Food at a fair price!

Good food. Some inconsistency in flavor due to different cooks maybe. Top shelf margarita is well made
