Wines range on the sweet side, so we steered in the direction of their beer. I was drawn to to their new release, a cask aged milk stout. Very full bodied and a rich bourbon taste. The blood orange ale was a pleasant surprise, very dry for a fruit beer, with a great finish. Breakfast espresso ale and and the pilsner were also welcomed, richly flavored, offerings. For some in our group, the flavors were a little forward, but with my fondness for hearty flavors, they were spot on. The place features a wood fired pizza oven, with adequate pizzas, but a predictable and safe selection of toppings. Spinach- artichoke dip and pretzels were predictable bar fare, providing a friendly back drop for the beer with no danger of upstaging it. A convient afternoon outing for folk from Lincoln, Omaha or the tri-cities.
