Lavon's Bakery & BBQ

Everything is excellent. It's only open on Fridays, but it's worth the drive and time to go here. I ordered several selections off the menu and brought them home for later.

It's like having mom/grandma's home cooking. Cozy eclectic atmosphere with good food and friendly small town service. Everything is homemade down to the buns for the sandwiches. Pie crust and fillings for pies are also homemade, no canned cherry pie filling here! Lavon's bbq is homemade and has a nice flavor and her chili has bits of brisket in it along with the hamburger, what a nice surprise to bite into a chunk of meat. You can't leave without having pie, the best around in my option! (Coconut Cream is topped with meringue, as it should be.)

Lavon's Bakery is absolutely a "Get Too" Make the trip, I promise you won't be disappointed.From the soup and BBQ sandwiches to the pan fried and baked Chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy like your grandma made her love for baking and cooking shows in every bite you take.Her home made pies are second to none! The Apple Pecan Cheesecake is like nothing you've ever had and her triple berry pie is the best.I just can't say enough here, stop in and see Lavon, Gary and the gals for a great meal and some friendly conversation.

It's a Yelpers dream when you accidentally find a great restaurant in a small town a little bit off the beaten path. Dream achieved today. LaVon's is a unique restaurant that serves great BBQ sandwiches and sides, bierocks and daily specials. You'll kick yourself if you don't have a piece of pie with your lunch it's fantastic. The employees and or owners are colorful helpful and welcoming.

Quaint, fun, friendly,serendipity place to visit. Best coconut meringue pie ever. Worth the visit. Only open Thursday and Friday.

Good food. We had a couple BBQ sandwiches, Bierocks along with the homemade pie. It's almost like you're eating in someone's home. It's definitely a hole in the wall and you could almost drive by and miss it.

Absolutely delicious food, unique setting and atmosphere, and even though I am not a part of this small Kansas town, the moment I walked in I felt at home. The couple who runs the restaurant are both very sweet, quirky, and humorous. Try the Veranika and brats, not to mention the pie is delectable. Loved loved loved this place; it's a privilege to eat here. Definitely deserves five stars.

Great home cooked food and fun unique atmosphere! We have taken many friends and family here and it never disappoints.
