Lava Hookah Lounge

The waiter lie to you and then begin to talk behind your back. I went to smoke some hookah on my birthday and then waiter was absolutely being trash human garbage. I literally just want to have a place to hang and smoke outside my house. This bitch have to make it about themselves.

I thought the decor and art in the smoking room was really cool. I thought my hookah could have been a little better. The airflow wasn't as clean as I would have liked and they used a social smoke hookah for my double apple. I hate to be that person that is super picky but dating an Arab guy for a year and smoking hookah for date nights every Friday night will teach you a thing or two about the middle eastern water pipe. The service was good. Very friendly. I hope they work out the hookah situation. That was the only thing that kept this review from a 5 star!

Been going here for a while now. And don't really get good service. Went in there today and me and my boyfriend were sitting there for a while and the worker was just chatting it the heck up with another customer who was already taken care of. And ignored us. And my boyfriend was trying to get his attention for a while and finally he came over with an attitude, slammed things and called us rude. But in my opinion you should always help customers who haven't been helped. And then asked us to leave because we were being "rude". Never going back. Next time make sure your employees take CARE of EVERY CUSTOMER. thanks.

I visited the Lava as I had been a big fan of the Heat and was looking for a similar experience or better. While the Heat serves alcohol, has a friendly staff, food and hookahs,the service is hit or miss. When it hits, it's very good. When it misses it's not so great.Meanwhile, I've used the Lava for my home products needs. Their selection of hookah materials is excellent, and their staff is friendly. I've never had an issue finding something for my home hookah that I needed. For a while there I didn't see the purpose of going to a non-alcoholic establishment for hookah when I could do it just as well at home.I have been working on a project for quite some time, but have discovered it's utterly impossible to complete it at home. I started going because of that, and have found that the place has some charms to it.Firstly, their hookah selection is great. They give you several different options, and even specialized bowls like cored apple. They also provide an Ice Tip and ice base on demand which smooths out the smoke of your desired flavor. Secondly, I have never ordered a flavor on their menu that they do not provide. My favorite is citrust mist and mint or blue mist and mint. Each time I ask for it, it's just a "Sure, be right up." Furthermore, I enjoy the fact that I can try it before I buy a whole bunch of it for home use. I still have some blackberry I purchased once and regretted ever since.Thirdly, the staff and atmosphere is excellent. While they aren't always perfect, they are on average better than the other venues I've visited. Some game is always on their TV and on the last visit I showed up wearing my KC Chiefs gear. Without even my asking, they saw my jersey and changed the TV so that I would be able to watch my team win. The staff was decidedly for the Texans, of which we had a friendly rivalry there, but it was all in good fun and enhanced my experience. My only complaint in this department is while they always nail the big stuff, the little stuff sometimes gets forgotten. A few times I've ordered a water, and the staff has forgotten it, usually in the multi-tasking they do with the business. However they are usually very quick to correct the issue and excellent at the apology.Overall I've learned that I like the Lava as much as I like the Heat. I use it for different reasons, one is my weekend hang out, while the other is my workspace. The prices are a bit more at Lava, but the options are greater and the versatility as well. It's evident that Lava focuses on the Hookah, not a bar with a hookah gimmick.

Fun place to just chill. One of my favorite spots to go to. The ghetto rap music takes away from the chill ness sometimes but overall, great place.

DO NOT GO HERE. The service sucks and they condone racism in their establishment. I've never felt so offended or uncomfortable in a place of business. I came here with a couple friends on karaoke night and the management allowed another customer to repeatedly make racial slurs over the microphone. When we brought this to his attention he basically turned it on us and completely ignored the fact that this customer was creating a hostile environment. Then as the night went on one of the workers there also made an offensive comment to us. I will never go back and I'm going to make sure to tell everyone I know NOT TO COME HERE.

Well first it took awhile to get a server even though they were not busy. Second there was a roach in our hookah bowl... And the manager didn't seem too worried about it. Also ventilation was horrible.

I've been to the lava lounge 2 times. My first experience was great! Very good company and the employees were helpful and kind. However the second time I went was on 7$ Wednesdays. We ordered two hookahs and when we proceeded to check out our bill came to 40$. We didn't quite understand why it was that much so we asked "I thought it was only 7$?" The manager proceeded to tell us it's 18$ hookah and 11$ hookah. Well we went with the flow and ended up paying and leaving. Well on the car ride home as we think those number don't add up. I call the store and speak to the same man I paid with. He began to laugh at me and tell me I was wrong when all I asked was for him to explain the bill. I then begin to explain to him how his employees were very polite and kind. (I enjoyed my experience with them). He proceeded to laugh at me over the phone. I told him that he needs to fix the problem and work on his customer service. I have never been treated so poorly by a MANAGER at a store. Not recommended. Would definitely go to any other hookah lounge available. (MANAGER VERY RUDE JUST FOR FUN)

Food is overpriced for the portions. The hummus was awful and served with dry, stale tortilla slices. We took a single bite before informing our waitress of how terrible it was. While at the register we had to argue with the manager before he actually removed the order from our ticket because our waitress apparently did not inform him of our discomfort. Good atmosphere but terrible customer service. Not worth my time. Extremely overpriced.

I waited 15 minutes before I even got offered a bowl and I had to call down the waitress. Never coming back here again.
