Lake Shawnee Golf Course

I played this course on a Saturday, trying to get 18 in before a family function. I started at 6:45 or so and by the time I got to the 8th hole the club pro had come out and found me to let me know they had mistakenly let me out before an outing starting at 8 and I would run into problems. He offered me several options even though it was no issue to me if I didn't finish. Needless to say I did rush through and finish my round right as their outing was starting and he still offered to discount my round and gave me a drink and some other minor memorable swag. That's true professional behavior there and should be rewarded with continued support of this course. Course was in great shape, hardly any brown grass and greens in amazing shape. Hard to accomplish in this climate I would imagine.

Course is in great shape but way too slow. Got there at 1:15 and had a 1:51 tee time but didn't get to tee off until 2:05. Paid for 18 but had to quit after 9 as it took over 3 hours to play 9 holes. Not a good experience.
