La Crosse has set a standard that no other apartment community will ever be able to uphold. I moved to Kansas for. school no knowing anyone and the ladys in the office made a huge effort to make sure it didn't stay that way for long. La Crosse became my home not just a place I had to live while I was in Kansas. They really do spoil you rotten I never had to wait longer than a day to have any issues resolved no matter how minor (one time maintenance changed my tire) everything from the. over sized bath tub so the salt water swimming pool is luxurious. I have sadly left Wichita but not a moment goes by when I don't wish I could have taken this community and the people who became my family with me.

I first lived at LaCrosse in 2016 and left after a year to be closer to work. After living in two other apartment complexes, I am back. There is not another complex in Wichita that has the same amenities, security, or included utility perks. Not to mention the staff here is incredibly friendly and quick to respond to maintenance request etc.

To win the Star of Excellence Award every year the manager runs a contest with a select hand picked residents and many others that do not live there by offering money etc as prizes for the person that votes the most times. The best complex's don't stoop to bribery. to be a excellent place to live. When I first saw the sign's posted on the complexes walls that said they had won the award 7 years in a row I thought something was not right. After one lives there they find out the truth, it turned out for me this was the worst manager I have ever known for blabbing your personal life to other residents, incomes, jobs, possible divorces, affairs etc.

I about to renew my lease after living at La Crosse for one year. I love it here. Not only are the leasing agents and management staff friendly and hard working but they truly do care about their residents and do whatever they can to make it a great place to live. I had to find an apartment from New Jersey under very stressful circumstances and they did everything they could to make it easy for me. I love the fact that they are pet friendly which is extremely hard to find here in Wichita for the quality of the apartments La Crosse has. There are always events going on and the pool is gorgeous. I am not 100% sure but I think that the previous review was written before a management change which has made me completely disagree with everything that was written. I have never seen a spider in my apartment or any other bug and an exterminator comes to spray often. Come and see La Crosse and I know you will be impressed!!

Do I have to even give one star? Over priced , small apartments and bad management. Let me elaborate. From day one it was an ordeal with them. They leased the last one bedroom they had after I had given them a deposit to someone else forcing me into a more expensive two bedroom. I accepted it because there was no other option, then the real problems began. The first rain storm the Windows started leaking like a faucet. A literal stream of water pouring in. What was the solution that maintenance and management came up with you ask? Covering the entire widow well with a plastic tarp all the while they were charging me extra on the lease for a "pool view". This of course did not stop the leaking just protected my curtains from water splashing, the drywall then began to be discolored creating a worse eyesore. The washer and dryer provided in the apartment made a terrible loud sound when ever I used them I asked maintenance to look at it but nothing was done. At the end of that lease I transferred to a one bedroom apartment. Due to my work situation I was only able to sign a six-month lease. At the end of that six month lease the management refused to let me sign an additional six-month lease. They cited my only options were to sign a year lease or a month-to-month lease which would've raised my rent to an astronomical $1200 a month for a one bedroom. I thought 6 months was a pretty standard lease term. I was a good tenant having paid my rent on time every month never having any complaints about noise or cleanliness and letting management show my apartment whenever they wanted for future prospect residence. You would think that management would be willing to work with me but instead they were more interested in when the lease would expire rather than retaining a good resident. When I called the corporate office to see if they wouldn't make a special provision they told me their hands were tied, it seems that even corporate was not concerned with retaining a good resident. It was at that point I began to look to move somewhere else. I wish Yelp would let me upload a video with this post. I have videos or leaky Windows and terrible noises coming from ancient laundry appliances.

I am hesitant to recommend this place due to management's lack of professionalism and integrity. The complex was purchased by new management within the last couple of years, and they seem to have since stopped caring about the upkeep of both the buildings and the community's reputation. Our apartment was very dirty when we received it: food crumbs all over drawers and counters, dirty carpet despite management's claim that it had just been professionally cleaned, peeling vinyl on countertop, hair on bathroom walls and scum in showers, urine and hair in toilets, spider webs and wasp nests in balcony area, and a thick layer of dust on the ceiling.Upon moving out, we were not given a move out checklist or list of things that needed to be cleaned, so we thoroughly cleaned the apartment. We were not given the option to do a move-out inspection. Despite having thoroughly cleaned the apartment and leaving it in much better condition than we found it, we were charged an additional cleaning fee on top of the carpet cleaning and administrative fees. When I asked about the charges I was told that I should have done a move-out inspection (despite not having that option) and I would have known what to clean.Bottom line: expect to be disappointed with the apartment when moving in and then get blind-sided with fees when moving out.

They won! Double Crosse won the 2019 Star of Excellence!. It cost them a lot of money. Money that needs to be spent on leaky windows, heating systems that don't work and removal of crumbling popcorn ceilings, but hey they get to have a party with lots of booze. And I just noticed, some the reviews..... not even from people who live there! This has been fun folks, but I've learned through all this, most everyone in Wichita already knows about this place. So I'll bid adieu and wish you happy home hunting! Just be sure to read reviews and read between the review lines, and talk with lots of former tenants if you can. Happy life!Update..... how embarrassing! Take at look! Lacrosse wrote on their Facebook how they win the Star of Excellent every year. They have a contest offering, incentives, drawings for money, gift cards and booze filled parties for employees, friends, family and anyone else who will vote for them. And from every email you have too. Very few residents vote for this because this place is terrible. More people just move out again. Plenty of ongoing openings! What were they thinking posting this to the world!. If they spent this kind of time and money doing some maintenance they might get the property back to a livable condition. Sad! I lived at LaCrosse Apartments for several years. It was pretty good in the beginning. Then the quality of the property and management began to rapidly decline. The absent owner didn't seem to care either. There is no privacy at Lacrosse. The gossip in this complex is sickening. The property management discloses tenant's personal and financial information to other tenants, and gossip about everyone's daily living activities. They also enter apartmenI won't even get into the infestation of spiders, leaky windows and broken down vehicles on the property. That's already in other reviews. I did have mice that they refused to address. This place is awful. It should be named Double Cross.

About to renew our lease after moving to the complex last May. I cannot begin to stress how AWESOME the leasing staff and property manager Lisa has been! They are very attentive to our needs and always go over and beyond to make sure we are happy and comfortable. We look forward to another impressive year.

One Star is way too good for this place. The windows did not close properly, after continuous complaints and astronomical electric bills, there solution was a caulking that prevented window to be opened at all! The management is rude, unreliable and quite frankly liars. Lisa is the worst liar and does not follow up on what she promises. POOR Management, LOUD Premises, overpriced.

Don't live here! Management staff is incompetent, rude, and belittling. Norma sure has taught those leasing girls how to be witches! Liars and thieves! My apartment was INFESTED with brown recluse spiders and they basically laughed in my face. Cannot wait to move out. The physical apartments/garages have nice layouts and use. One positive is that the maintenance staff is friendly, responsive and all around pleasant to be around. Don't believe me, you will soon find out after you sign your life away on that lease and then realize that you're trapped in this miserable place.
