La Bamba

Had to try this place as there are not many restaurants in Oberlin Kansas. The waitress was very nice and attentive. It was clean. Food was OK. But as I have lived in California my whole life, I tried not to compare.

Where do you eat when in Western Kansas? Well, La Bamba, of course!This place is great! Truly, it's one of my favorite places to visit when in Oberlin. Located on the north side of town, ample parking and always quick to get you a table.The staff is always so kind and friendly. They're super helpful and will always get the answer to any question you may have.. they know their menu well!Food is always top notch. They always serve it piping hot and precisely to order. I've never had anything at La Bamba that I didn't love. The portions are huge... expect leftover (albeit, I just overstuff the heck out of myself every time!).Prices are so fair... truly, right on point!Love the ambiance... fun, friendly, colorful, and spirited. Highly recommend a stop in at La Bamba. Love this place!!!!

We ate here the second night of our week long road trip from Denver to Kansas City. This was by far my favorite meal of the entire trip. The waitstaff was nice and when they didn't know the answer to a question we had about how the Chile rellenos were prepared, they sent out the chef. They easily sat a party of 9 and all of our food was fabulous! It seemed very authentic and reasonably priced to me. I hope that they stay open long enough for us to return.
