Kirby's Beer Store

This little whole in the wall is such a COMFORTABLE place and extremely open to anyone and everyone! Coming from someone who is in a band that performs here quite often, all of the staff are amazing and have fun with us along with regular customers! Personally, Kirby's is a genuine judgmental- free zone for musicians of all kinds and customers who just want to drink and have some fun! I most definitely recommend coming here if you're interested in having a good time with some good music in the background!

When walking into to Kirby's, there's an exciting but very comfortable mood to it. If you enjoy live music and wonderful people, this is definitely the place to be!!!After going to Kirby's for much of my life, it's amazing to me how it always brings back wonderful moments and memories but does just as great of a job creating new ones! For that I am forever thankful!!. There's something magical about it--right from it not necessarily being a huge fancy bar but Instead being a place you can easily go with friends or by yourself. You feel like it's yours, like you're discovering something new and unique each time!Thank you to the people at Kirby's that work hard at make it not only memorable but welcoming for everyone!

First bartender helped me, second bartender some dude with a beard passed me up 4 times. Didn't event want to order a drink anymore.

Great local dive bar with live music and SUPER reasonably priced drinks. Bartenders great and personable! Great atmosphere and vibe! Will come again!

If ur visiting Wichita State, don't be a dick, go give this place ur business. Classic grimy, divey bar with music; a dying breed. All the stars and thumbs up.

This is a very interesting place! A great hang out! Lots of things to do and very good prices! Truly one of the best dive bars ever! You will have a very unique experience and memorable one at the same time!

Kirby's is the bomb! Definitely the best dive bar I have ever visited, and I honestly have been to a lot of places. Before I "dive" deeper into my review, let me just stress the words "dive bar"-- in here you will find neither glitz nor glamour; no valet parkers; but a chance to mix and mingle with some of the best citizens of Wichita that the town has to offer, which makes it a signature bar in Wichita. The place conveniently offers parking in a lot at the back, and when Kirby's gets packed, you can just hang out in the outdoor patio.I came here for their Meatfest celebration, and out of all the places I visited in Wichita, I probably enjoyed this place the most. The people were so friendly; the beers were cheap and pouring; and the live music offered at Kirby's made me wish we had more underground bands in my hometown of Miami.The only con I had to say about this place is that their bathroom only had one toilet and was a bit grungy. However, the bathroom honestly represented the classic grunginess of the bar, and I really enjoyed the random stickers all over the place.

Kirby's is a magical place, full of music, friends, fun, and adventure. You never know what you'll find when you walk in the door. You could discover something new on the walls that are covered in 44 years worth of show posters, band stickers, and WSU memorabilia. You could run into an old college buddy or stumble upon your new favorite band. You could just sit at the bar and find yourself in an enlightening random conversation with a stranger. There is no doubt that Kirby's Beer Store has its own flavor and style that is almost impossible to find anywhere else. Sure, it's definitely a dive bar, so it's not the cleanest, you'll never be able to get a martini or wine, but it's literally one of the best dive bars in the nation. It even says so on the front of the building.So do yourself a favor and go grab a PBR and a whiskey shot and create you own unique adventure at Kirby's.
