I had been working with a agent named Ashlee for the past couple of days. We had set up a time that worked for my schedule and she seemed really nice. I called to let them know that I could take the earlier time slot. The guy that answered the phone seem eager to help. When I arrived at the property there was people all ready there to view the property. Mind you I only arrived 10 minutes before my schedule time. I waited in my car to see if they had just over lapped our time, but then another person came to view the property. To me this is very disrespectful to your clients. I was not told that I would be sharing a viewing or that it was an open viewing and other clients would be there. I called the office and asked if this was normal. The lady said that it happens all the time. I told her that if I would of known I wouldn't of schedule a time for that. As a client this is unprofessional. Let your clients know ahead of time. So thanks, but no thanks. You have lost my business.

Horrible I paid them my rent on time and they are claiming never to received it . Its retaliation against a complaint I made and I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone higher up they refuse. I am aquiring proof of purchase of money order from the money order place. Until then they tell me or evict me on the 25th with an illegal eviction. The male secretary got rude and snippy and made discriminatory remarks to me and then I asked someone from an upper position to call me back and they never did. I asked for my number to be update they never do. They aredis0rganized and can't keep records correctly of send out maintenance people on time or in the day they say they will sometimes they show up before of after. Nevr been evicted in my life no criminal history pay my rent try to be polite but yet I am getting ripped off here . they serve me an ileagl eviction on my Birthday no less .So when most companies will send you a Bday Card they will send ilegal unwarranted evictions

Completely unprofessional. Always hiring unprofessional looking people who do not know how to speak to clients or potential clients. One apartment "manager" even thought it would be acceptable to cuss at me. You attract what you put out, Key Management. If you want nice, respectful residents, you should start out by hiring nice, respectful employees. I will ALWAYS avoid Key Management and make sure everyone I know does the same.

The worst rental management company I have ever dealt with (Wichita, KS-559 Bristol)! At move in the property was filthy as the cleaning crew hadn't come. Spider webs everywhere too. We were assured they would arrive prior to our actual move in date. It didn't happen. We moved in 8/2015. I had to purchase 2 new toilet seats due to the filth and purchased 2 new shower curtain rods. Moved out 11/30/15, paying 2 months rent to break lease and leaving new toilet seats and shower curtain rods for next tenant. Maintenance crews were constantly in and out of property with no regard to privacy or advance notice. At move out walk through, manager Rae said everything was fine. Later received the move out inspection form in the mail with $62 of charges, $20 of which was for dirty bathroom issues. I contacted Rae via phone to inquire about the $20 bathroom charges and said I took issue with this given the condition prior manager Melissa turned the duplex over to us at move in. She agreed to refund the $20 bathroom charges. When the security deposit refund check was received, $20 was still deducted. Contacted Rae again and was told they found "other" dirty bathroom issues of drawers and countertops so they decided to keep the $20. Justin isn't any better. Only person who's helpful is Lindsy, their Office Admin. I've had many rental experiences with 2 kids in college out of state and NEVER had a rental experience like this company. POOR!!!!

I'm a single mom to 4 kids under age 10. After moving in to one of key managements properties I developed pneumonia. A week after my diagnosis I was in the hospital due to my symptoms not subsiding even after antibiotics. The doctors asked if there was something at home I was being exposed to that might be aggravating my symptoms and not allowing them to resolve even with treatment. A week after that my 10 year old that lives in the basement was diagnosed with a case of pneumonia as well. Let's mention that pneumonia is not contagious. Neither her or I have a history of lung problems or pneumonia and have never been diagnosed with it before. The house was listed as a "no pet home" and after moving in we discovered dog urine and dog hair in the carpet everywhere. When I called the property, alexius said that she knew there was dog urine but they had it shampooed. I explained I was allergic to dogs and asked for the carpet to be replaced. Even offering to front the cost myself. She said that the owner of the home refused. I told her I have 2 very young kids that roll around on the ground and she said that simply wasn't her problem. I found black mold in the basement and inside my dishwasher when I took it apart and when I called the regional manager she asked if I ever considered cleaning. I was in tears and said my daughter and I are both developing lung issues and I was scared for our lives living somewhere I suspect black mold to be an issue in. She said I could pay 2 months rent and break my lease but under no circumstances would she let me out without paying extra. She followed that with saying she would make sure and make a note and tell everyone that works for key management that was her final decision. She promised she would send a someone to preform a moisture test within 48 hours. That was July 1st. Almost 2 weeks later there has been no one sent out and no further communication from key management to check and see if our health problems caused by their property was better. My daughter is now waking up with swollen eyes and is having severe difficulty walking up and down the stairs due to her breathing difficulties. After looking at reviews, this company is known to not care for their tenants and to cheat and lie as much as they can.

No maintenance, no response to calls and texts. Pretty much ignored and the renter either has to fix the issue themselves or end up with riduculously high utility bills due to constant water leaks, etc. The place was dirty when I moved in, There are broken electrical outlets that are dangerous, smoke alarms do NOT work. This is a mismanagement company, not a management company.

Worst management company ever!! They do nothing about problems with property and management. They do not follow laws regarding disabled tenants and they do not maintain their appliances. The property manager is a liar and she doesn't follow through with promised emails. They advertise that these apartments are luxurious! Ha, not luxury by any means!

Beware of Huffman Properties part of Key Management. They will milk you for every petty little thing they can from your deposit when you move out, charging $20 for this and that which were absolutely ridiculous!! I've learned a hard lesson - take video and pics of every little detail of the house before and after, even if you think it's insignificant!!!!Quote from their website: "We take pride in offering quality living to our residents, through our professional, skilled and responsive staff."Wish I could say that was true!As I'm talking to other people who have also rented from Key Management, they have also been riddled with $20 charges for little things like the drip pans, etc. Guess it's one other way for them to make some money.

If there's any truth to the saying..."to error is human", Key Management Co. is as human as they come. Having already had dealings with the Company some years ago, I was fairly familiar with some of the employees, as well as some of the Company's strengths and weaknesses. Weighing all of the pros and cons, we chose Key Management to manage several of our rentals. It didn't take more than a just a couple of months before the accounting errors were coming to our attention. Corrections were eventually made, but not for months, and then by the time they were corrected, they were often compounded with yet more accounting anomalies. From then on, we never really knew (and still don't) whether the accounting is accurate. On the repair side, we found that one of Keys technicians had used terrible judgement in what eventually amounted to a $600 repair bill, that turned out to NOT be the problem. It came down to their Technicians failure to replace a very plugged furnace filter. That filter is (or soon will be) on display at the contractors office as a reminder to his technicians to always...always change the filters when needed. The only reason we found out was when I showed up with my own contractor in anticipation of making some improvements to the aging heating and a/c system. Much to my surprise, the case of furnace filters that I had provided the renter with 9 months ago was still standing in the living room within 15 feet of the front door. Three adult trained technicians walked right past an entire case of furnace filters at least 4 times in 2 days, in a living room approximately 15' X 15' and never noticed them sitting there. When I questioned the Contractor later, he said that his technicians each carry filters, and that while his Tech maintains he inspected the filter, when I showed the filter to the Contractor...he agreed that this filter should have been replaced. Once I replaced the filter, the amount of air coming through the registers had increased significantly. Not only did that repair cost me $600, but they failed to correct the problem. At some point, we lost all confidence in Key's ability (or willingness) to manage our investments properly and professionally. Please don't misunderstand me, I like the people at Key Management, but liking them merely got them the job. Keeping it would require a level of professionalism that they never delivered on. Look, business is business, and if they weren't going to learn from their mistakes, we were certainly going to learn from ours. I took no delight in moving to another firm, but signing up for another year with Key was most definitely out of the question. I wish them well, and sincerely hope that the Management there will seriously look into correcting the terrible mistakes that seem to plague them month after month after month.
