My husband and I really enjoyed this museum. It was very informative and interesting. There were several pieces of oilfield equipment on display. I especially enjoyed the replica of the old oil town. They also have an area for small children to play and learn about farm life. I also enjoyed the display telling about Kansas wildlife and plants.

Visiting El Dorado for work I came across this museum for something to do during my downtime. Easily one of my favorite 'small town' museums. There is a lot of information and exhibits on cattle ranching as well as oil production. The oil aspect has lots of genuine artifacts and various oil rigs to learn about, there's even a small company village where you can learn how the workers lived in the company village. Very cool!

Looked familiar so I went home and found a picture of my great-aunt and uncle standing beside one on their farm. Probably taken sometime in the 20s or 30s. So I finally know what that picture is about. Imagine my pleasure!
