Sam Cox was an amazing guide! You have to see this incredible museum while in the area.

Must see this piece of history. KS first to use horseless carriage engines,water tenders and pumpers. Go see Nick, a fantastic curator and tour guide. A two-story original Wichita firehouse about 100 years old. Great pieces including an originial electric dispatch system, photos. Thank you Nick for a great tour.

Another hidden gem. When we went we discovered a trove of firefighting history that was absolutely fascinating. It's been a long time since I've visited. I'm not sure what their hours are anymore.

This beat all of my expectations. Our tour was great with very knowledgeable staff; both retired fire fighters. So many interesting artifacts and history. I have lived in Wichita since the early 80s and had never been before. In fact, I had only recently learned of it's existance. Definately a hidden gem!
