Catfish! perfectly proportioned bites and quantity for me; served with decent fries and Hellmans mayo to dip in plus super flavorful green beans. My partner had a huge chicken fried chicken sandwich with an okay side salad. Cherry cream pie for dessert was a lovely treat for Valentine's Day lunch.

We were wanting home style food for lunch as we made a quick trip down to Ponca on a weekday. After several passes on other chain restaurants we decided to give JW Cobbs a try. We loved our waitress! All the staff was so great and very attentive. It seemed it was a regular spot for many locals and everyone knew everyone by name. I loved the atmosphere and I do believe they have the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! Both our meals we delicious and HUGE for not much money. JW Cobbs is a diamond in the rough. We will make it a regular go-to from now on!!

Was really impressed with darn near everything that I had, as well as my coworker. Started with the mushrooms, they came out hot and they didn't take that long. Got the protein plate, hamburger patty, cottage cheese, tomatoes and cottage cheese. The portions were good and the hamburger steak, was well seasoned. Got a piece of chocolate pie, it was also very good. Coworker got the bologna sandwich and jalapeño macaroni and cheese. He said all were very good. He got the coconut cream pie, and was very happy. The portions that we received for all our food were very acceptable and for the price, were exceptional. This will definitely be a restaurant that I return to when in Ponca.

I'm a French fry person. I judge an eating establishment by the quality of its French fries.Cobbs obviously has more than one cook. Some French fries come to the table properly cooked--a little crunchy and very little grease--cooked to perfection! On another day the French fries arrive limp, wimpy and greasy--almost inedible.Cobbs menu has a wide variety of items--we've tried many of them and have found all items to be quite tasty.All in all, a good family restaurant with quite reasonable prices.The workers are over worked but yet retain a friendly attitude--they deserve a good tip!

We arrived at JW's right at 11 o'clock. One of the kitchen staff was removing the items from the breakfast buffet and our party of seven sat down and we ordered our drinks and we were given menus. Two people ordered chicken fried steaks, which came with two sides. One got mashed potatoes and gravy and corn and I got the side salad with okra. I also added a side of fried onions and mushrooms. The chicken fried steak was breaded lightly and was very tender. Adding the mushrooms and fried onions was a game changer. I would highly recommend this. I gave a bite of my steak to my sister with onion and mushroom and she 100% agreed it was delicious. The waitress said not many people add mushrooms and onions to their chicken fried steak, well do yourself a favor and do it, it's really really good. The chicken fried steaks came with white gravy. The side salad came with tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, and very good homemade ranch. The waitress said they also have two other housemaid dressings. They also brought a big basket of fresh rolls to the table. The other people in the party got a protein plate, a hamburger, taco salad, turkey and dressing and bacon and cheese fries, all looked delicious. I paid for the two chicken fried steaks and the protein plate and before tip it came to $38. This is very much a mom and pop diner. There is nothing fancy here but they are putting out really good food. Thank you JW! I hope to see you again.

I've been looking for good places to eat in ponca City and this family restaurant is exactly what you'd expect. The place is cozy and quaint and very family restaurant looking. I got an order to go but the staff was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. So the food I ordered the smothered chicken with sauteed mushrooms and havarti but it also inspired me to order a side order of extra sauteed mushrooms and it was well worth it I wish I'd gotten two side orders. I also ordered the side salad and it was beyond my expectations of being fresh. Quite a value for the food I received I'll definitely be back and they serve breakfast all day!!!

This restaurant is an old fashioned diner. Inexpensive, hearty portions. However there is NO patio to sit at.

What a great place! Food was excellent- especially the rolls! The servers were friendly and efficient and the prices were so reasonable! We're so glad the hotel front desk person recommended it!

I always love the food I get here. It's seems like a chaotic atmosphere but it works.

Went to JW Cobb's for lunch today. Food was bad and service was worse. Cold mashed potatoes with congealed brown gravy. Okra was fried too hard to eat.
