The first time I went here, I had really low expectations, considering it looked like nothing more than a super generic sports grill. Not to mention the fact it is basically in an apartment complex. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually good! Like, *really* good! Since then, I've probably been here 10 times. The burgers are great, but you can't go wrong with their sandwiches either. If you get a side, make sure to try the tater twists. The service has been good every time I've been here (much better than the service at the Union's), and you don't have to tip.

My roommates and I live right down the street so we walk over to JP's all the time. It's our go-to hungover spot because they got TV's everywhere with all the games. The food here is lit and we get down on some beer sometimes. They have a big selection but we're also broke college students, you feel me? But yeah, the food is always good. The sweet potato fried with honey mustard never disappoints the squadron. You also don't have to tip the servers but sometimes we're ignorant so we leave cash under the spicy ketchup. Oh yeah, they're the only place in Manhattan with the spicy ketchup. Bless.

I really enjoy this place because of the convenient location and bar/grill type setting. It is great quality food on a college student budget and is right by campus. The servers get paid an $8.00 hourly wage and are not working for tips which gives them the excuse to slack on serving their tables. We were one of two tables in the place so we figured it wouldn't take long to be serviced. We had to wait 10 minutes for our beer because the server was busy sitting at the bar conversing with her coworkers so eventually we had to get up to get the drinks at the bar ourselves. We weren't approached by the original server for the rest of our stay and the bartender took care of us the rest of the time.I'm a server myself so I am particular about how I am treated when I go to another restaurant. Bottom line is if the servers are getting paid $8.00/hr rather than the server wage of $2.13/hr then the service should be spotless.

I'm a k-state student and JP's one of my favorite place to dine near the campus. It's located at Jardine, and the food are just great there with cheap price. Moreover, it is said that they pay their employees well so no tip is needed. Yet their service is absolutely great. The servers there would greet you immediately after you enter, friendly take your order, and constantly check on customers to see whether they're happy with the food. The atmosphere here is nice as well.

Good location for a quick lunch from the vet school. Food was pretty standard and prices were reasonable. I got a pizza here when I went and it was plenty of food for lunch. I think I paid about $10 for it. Best part of this place is that tips aren't accepted so it cuts down on prices a little. I would come back if I needed a quick bite to eat and I didn't have time to drive anywhere.

We only discovered after being seated that this is run by college students, who are paid an hourly wage (hence the no tipping note on the menu). Our family only got drinks 45 min after we were seated and only 2 of our 5 actually were served food...an hour and a half after we sat down. There was very little apology and no reimbursement. I would not recommend anyone waste their time or money at JP's. And we definitely won't be going back.

Good selection of beer on tab from different breweries. Food is always good and staff (students) are friendly. They have vegetarian offerings.
