Jim's Foodliner

Jim's is a great little grocery store. Unlike most small town stores that seems kind of dusty and unkempt this little store is clean and organized and despite their small space they usually have about anything you might need or want. Prices of course are going to be a little higher than a big discount chain, but they have enough generic brands and good sales that it's still a decent bargain to shop there.

I live in Wichita and this little grocer is in Cheney. I was out at the county fair today and out the way out of town decided to stop to get a quick snack. The store is well kept and carries a little of everything. They had quite a few things I don't even see in our big markets in Wichita. The service was nice and they even had a guy helping another guy carry out groceries. I never know what to expect in small towns. The thing I fell in love with was their rotisserie chicken. It is in the back by the meats and they also have fresh hotlinks and bbq ribs but the chicken looks like it was made my angels. Roasted to perfection from every angle. All of them looked perfect. At our huge local chain it their chickens are pathetic, with little roasting on the skin & not a lot of flavor and they are tiny. NOT here, the chickens were huge and they have a seasoning that is to die for. I should have bought 2 or 3 because when we got home my mother decided to cut half off and take it home. But at least I got most of the breasts and thighs. I will drive back the 20 miles to get more in the next week.Nice little small town grocery.
