To start off with I only had one waitress so Waited 10 minutes for a soda. She never explained the menu or the specials but I opted for the salad bar anyways. The first two plates I grabbed were nasty dirty. The steak fingers and chicken strips look like they were straight from a school lunch menu and after my second plate they closed the hot bar. So I guess it really wasn't all you can eat. Very disappointed I feel sorry for the locals but this is all they have. Don't waste your time or money

Nice little hometown cafe/ bar/ burger joint! Stopped in for a bite to eat and had the mushroom swiss burger! Yummo! But the icing on the cake was the homemade lemon meringue pie! Wow! Oh my, what a treat! Keep these folks in business! They are a great asset to this sweet little town!

Large hometown cafe where you can get a hearty meal in an area of Kansas where there aren't many choices. They have a hot food bar and salad bar. The hot food bar had mashed potatoes, mushy green beans and gravy. The salad bar was well stocked with all the old fashioned favorites including excellent potato salad and pickled beets. The lettuce itself was over chopped. The ala carte menu has many choices including burgers and such. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. We had fish sandwiches which was a basic fish fillet on a homemade bun with tarter sauce and potato chips. The burger was large and tasty with fries. The special of the day was a hot French dip sandwich with curly fries. It's just good country cafe food.

I had the occasion to visit Trish's earlier this week for lunch. For a place so far from the ocean, it served up a mighty fine Fish Sandwich! The fries were perfect, and the ketchup was amazingly tasty. I even inquired if they made their own ketchup, but was told simply 'no', so I'm not sure of its origins, just that it was good! Most of my companions had burgers or some type, one stuffed with jalapenos. The hamburger patties were thick and stuck out nearly an inch beyond the bun on all sides. Meat lovers would enjoy this place for sure. This is also a place where the locals congregate and you can hear talk of timing the harvest in and the like.

The last time I ate here it smelled like a sewer. We went during Lent and had the hot bar with lots of fried fish items. It was okay. Nothing to brag about. After the smell I can't bring myself to go back.
