J D's Kwik Burger

The hickory burger is the best burger I have had since moving to Kansas last summer (2022)! That is saying something, because I have been searching for over a year for a really good local place. Taco Tuesday tacos are legit too, can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu!

Stopped for what was reviewed as a good burger. The burger patty is nit seasoned or seared or grilled. It is like a boiled patty. Not a fan - would not recommend. The onion rings are delicious

Hubs and I were in McPherson for the first time visiting our friends and I wanted a quick bite to eat. We love burgers so I was happy to see this little place was open on a Saturday. I had the mushroom burger, he had the jalapeño burger, and we also ordered the spicy munchers. I was prepared to just take it to go, but since it wasn't busy inside and there was an open table (I think it was the only table inside).. we decided to just eat there. It was a simple greasy burger and we enjoyed it! I think I liked the flavors of the jalapeño burger more than the mushroom. I was glad we tried the spicy munchers, too, because those were really good with some ranch! Now we know where to go for some quick burgers the next time we're in McPherson.

I've been in mcpherson for a combined 3 years and just gave this burger stand a try and I'm happy I did. It's a friendly mom and pop, with the best fresh burgers in town. Setting: 4/5 The kwik burger establishment is located on Kansas avenue about two blocks east or highway 81. It's a small, order and go place. There are no tables so your food is to go. You order at the counter and pay when your order is done. It's clean and pleasant to the eye.Costumer service: 5/5 The staff is pretty friendly and welcoming to questions. The cook is open to make what you want and to your liking. They wear regular clothes and are pretty relaxed. Seems to be family ran. Very clean food preparation. Food: 5/5 The menu consists of many different burger options along with dinner plates of fish and shrimp. That's nice but I came here for a burger! So I ordered a double bacon cheese burger. Alone it was 5 dollars. Drinks and fries are separate. So I also ordered a small fry. Total was 7.87. The burger was delicious!!! You can tell the meat is fresh and not frozen and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and hot. I will be back for more. Next time I'm trying the corn nuggets.

Their burgers are delicious, now they have pizza and yes, THEY HAVE SWEET POTATO FRIES!The sweet potato fries are worth the trip every time.

I've eaten there 3 times. The first time the Lady was cooking and it was good. Today, burnt onion rings and he burped on the food while he was cooking. So, good luck.

Disappointed. We love eating at new places especially hole in the wall diners. We were excited about the reviews and decided to give it a try. The service was quick. Staff was very friendly. As we waited there was a dead cockroach under the table. Yep still ate there. Shouldn't have but we did...We were starving. Our food got done quickly. So service and staff were great however the food, not so much. Burger was mediocre at best and despite seeing it on the grill it was lukewarm. For the price of fries you barely get any. My husband got the chicken basket dinner. Chicken strips tasted great, he got tots instead of fries and there were literally 6 tots in the basket. WTH. Lol. Won't be eating there ever again if we are in the area.

My wife got dinner here the other night and the hamburger seemed very greasy and the onion rings were not that good. When I asked her how she would rate it, she said 3 stars. I tried one of her onion rings and they tasted like they had come out of a bag and were almost overcooked.
