Good food, fair prices. Ambiance is traditional, not a hipster joint. Family friendly. Sweet tea is to die for! Tastes great. Service could be better. Perhaps our last server had a bad day. Not very responsive to filling out bottomless drinks. We all have days like that.

Priced right for the chicken sandwiches. Iced tea was on point - very strong! Fries tasted like they are fried in the same oil as the chicken and were just OK. Family style atmosphere and popular with the locals.Enjoy!

Well what can you say, homestyle chicken straight off Hays Main Street. Sweet potato fries taste like a walk through the sunflower fields on a warm July evening. Greeted by the good ol' boys and their homely kin. If you want average, you found it.

This place was great! The waitress was super friendly the food had big portions for lower prices and everything tasted great! The waitress was on top of everything making sure that our drinks were always full. I would definitely recommend the fried chicken, it was juicy and crispy and I would also recommend the corn nuggets which were crispy on the outside with a sweet creamy corn filling.

We had the 2 piece fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. Large pieces of chicken that were delicious at a reasonable cost. We will definitely be back.

Someone needs to explain why,if they are open until nine, they lock their doors at 8:15!!! If you are not open then be honest! You are not. My guess is that all the staff had dates on Saturday do they just decided to close! What crappy customer service!!! Guessing, now that KFC is closed, they can get away with this s - - t!!

JD's has really good chicken! Simple, straightforward, fried chicken like I remember my mother and grandmother making. It's not KFC, and that's a good thing. Service was FAST and friendly. The only thing keeping this from being a five star rating is that the green beans were only lukewarm.
