Super friendly staff and very clean facility! They remodeled their dog boarding and doggy day care area last year so everything is so nice.

One-Star ReviewI took my dog to this clinic twice. The first visit went well--she seemed happy and comfortable, and there were no issues. Because of this, I returned for a follow-up UTI check-up. Unfortunately, the second visit was a complete disaster. When I arrived, my dog was still her usual friendly self, excited to see the front desk staff. However, things went downhill quickly once she was taken back for the procedure. They attempted to collect a urine sample, but after claiming she wouldn't go on her own, they used a catheter technique. To my surprise, they did this without sedating her--something I later learned is standard practice at most clinics. My dog returned to me visibly distressed--squealing uncontrollably and looking terrified. She even threw up in front of me and the staff, which was completely out of character for her. She refused treats from the staff, something she never does, which made it clear she was still traumatized from the experience. The staff attempted to downplay the situation by acting overly affectionate, but it was obvious they had caused her distress. To make matters worse, I was still charged nearly $50 for this visit, despite the poor care and the trauma my dog endured.I contacted my regular vet in a different town, and they were appalled. They confirmed that catheterization should never be performed without sedation, as it's a painful and delicate procedure. I will never return to this clinic and cannot recommend it to anyone who values the well being of the their pets.

We have been taking our dogs here for about 3 years now and have been unimpressed with every visit. It all started with them sending my dog home from a neuter still so high on sedation he ended up falling over in the car because he couldn't even sit up straight. He ended up licking his incision open because they never sent home a cone which resulted in a visit to the emergency vet 4th of July weekend because this place doesn't have after hours calls. Unfortunately it seems they are all about the money and try to slip in extra tests and services at every visit. At the last visit they wanted to muzzle my dog to trim his nails and then charge an extra $10 to do so. I understand It's for safety and I know there's a stigma behind the breed but both of our dogs went through obedience training and are highly socialized with other animals and people and have never shown aggression towards either. Being a German shepherd dog owner I know they can be a bit high maintenance at times but maybe if he didn't have 5 people sitting on top of him and if they didn't insist on doing everything outside the room his family is sitting in he would be less nervous. Our dogs have had their nails trimmed by a groomer for years and we have never received any complaints about their behavior. Both of our dogs are absolutely terrified to go to the vet now and for our female gsd it never used to be that way. We have also requested records on several occasions and were always told they would be emailed to us and they were never received. I gave two stars because overall the staff is somewhat friendly.

I'm glad others have had a good experience with Indian Hills Vet on 13th because mine was awful! I mean really, really awful. Took my cat in twice for cystitis, came in for food and meds twice, and 10 days later, I had spent around $300 and my cat was no better. They wanted to keep me paying, howeve, and wanted to sell me 5 pills for another $41. The vet, Dr. Robinson would not even come out to show her face and talk to me! The word "subpar" doesn't even begin to describe them. All they wanted was my money: absolutely no empathy for my cat or me.

Love taking our 2 German shepherds here. They are a little skittish so it is always a challenge to get them in the door. The doctors and nurses are great with them and take their time to allow the dog to relax and get more comfortable. I plan on going here as long as I have pets. They also do boarding, daycare and grooming which is a plus.

After several visits to the office and a couple of misdiagnosis, by a different vet, Dr Hill saw during one of his drop off appointments that she thought the problem might be myasthenia gravis (which is very uncommon) and he needed to go to K-State ASAP. Thank God for Dr Hill, after a couple weeks of battling aspiration pneumonia and unknown muscle weakness we finally had a good lead. K-State tested and confirmed her diagnosis. I did learn while I was there that he also had another condition that showed on the pneumonia x-ray that had I been told earlier he might have started getting better sooner. Once I changed how and what he was being fed and quit giving him water, his pneumonia got better pretty fast. Had Dr Hill not noticed and sent me to K-State I truly believe he would not be alive today. Thank you so much! The reason for only 4 stars rather than 5 is that I wasn't told about the megaesophagus when they read the x-ray. The emergency vet a K-State thought I already knew because she saw it on the x-ray that was sent to her upon my referral.
