After years of my doctors requesting that I give the Medtronics spinal stimulator trial a go, I finally decide to do it and get everything approved only to find out that this "hospital" refuses to work with my current doctor because they aren't getting paid what they think they should be. Now, because this "hospital" won't work with this doctor and allow him to do surgeries in their facility, there are now literally hundreds (sadly yes, the doctor's scheduling person is loosing his mind over this) of people waiting on trials and implants that will continue to wait until their approvals expire or the patients expire. It's sad to see that profits are more important than patients at this "hospital". I have never seen a "hospital" turn away patients because their surgeon isn't giving them a kick-back.

I had outpatient surgery on 18July2019. I would like to comment on the courteous staff that was absolutely amazing and wonderful to me. All of my questions and concerns were addressed and answered in a professional manner. I have already received a follow up call asking how I am. I give everyone involved in my care 5 rating. Thank you so much for everything yesterday.

Of all the hospitals I have worked at.... this one is in my home town. The hospital is in a small community and offers many services of the "big boys" It is the only game in town and I believe that is why it gets many 1 star reviews, my 2 star review "Meh. I've experienced better." I believe is accurate, it is not 1 star "Eek! Methinks not." or 3 star A-OK I am not a 4 star "Fan" and it is definitely not 5 star "as good as it gets" There are a high percentage of people that work in this hospital that truly care about people and improving their health. Unfortunately the atmosphere for these people to affect change in the system is discouraged, ideas and innovations are seen as complaints and complaints can get you fired. The problems with this facility in my opinion stem from the culture of the hospital which is "this is safe" because "that is the way we have always done it". The hospital is a community owned not for profit hospital so, we/I own it. I think, like many hospitals this size it faces struggles in the future. If our community is unhappy with our hospital it is our duty to change it. If we don't it will die. Alternatively you could get a more fuel efficient car and buy 15 or so more ambulances close our local hospital and start driving to Wichita.I am hoping that someday I will be proud of my hometown hospital.Full disclosure I have been an RN for more than 15 years. I was fired from this hospital in 2012, (as were many people) and was happy to be out of this abusive hopeless relationship.

They are the worst in the medical industry that I have ever been to. The ER nearly killed me by giving me medicine that they knew I was allergic to and didnt even care. As a result I had to go to another facility be treated for allergic reaction as well as the original issue that Hutchinson didn't even try to test for or treat. Will NEVER go there again, and will warn everyone of the kind of care they will receive there. They don't even deserve 1 star, but of course I can't post this without giving them at least that...ZERO STARS FOR HRMC!!!

This facility and ER is the most disgusting place I have been to Been to the er Twice and both times rat fecies on the flour the MRI room had so much trash on the floor the wall have stained blood in places and the service is lousy most of the staff is goofing off about there love lives and drama to help keep the ship clean and tidy 3 - 4 hours to find out what's wrong only for them to say we can't find anything then go back to the Dr for him to schedule another MRI I still can't feel my right foot and stumble worst place ever that place should be cleaned top to bottom 2 times a day nasty place especially for people with week immune systems and can get staph easily.

this review is strictly about the quality of care you receive from hutchinson hospital er.. there is never a time its not "busy" the er doctors and most of the staff dont care one way or another... i sat in this er and was told if im not dying or close to it you just have to wait. keep in mind my right arm was/is in excrutiating from my jawline to the middle of my forearm. but nobody cares there we were all told we would be triaged and if its not life threatening we would be sent home. guess what still ended up waiting and finally just left... this hospital is the biggest joke in the entire state of kansas!!! wish i could give it a negative 5 stars

I honestly give this place one star possibly down to none. From observing the nursing staff when my father was in the hospital the nurses and CNAs seem to have a heavy work load I had one gal tell me that she had 9 patients that she had to care for. How do they expect safe patient care with that ratio. The care we received for the most part was wonderful. However on The telemetry unit (5100) one aid was cussing at a young man as he was pushing a cart down the hall after supper. At that moment I knew that some of the staff don't take their job professionally. The one aide and nurse that we did have made us feel like we were being listened to and heard. My father was worrying and kept apologizing for taking up their time and the aide kept saying that they were in no rush, that they were on his time and he only mattered to them. That made him feel safe. I wish I could remember those ladies name.
