I had reasonable expectations for their going out of business sale, but I was sorely mistaken. This place is a fever dream and a laughing stock all in one. The 2 sales associates I spoke with were pleasant, but I wonder how they work for such rip-off management/ownership. I knew this place was a joke after seeing a sectional couch listed for over $14,000. Even with the sale price, it was still incredibly overpriced by several thousand. I was interested in a 5'x7' rug that was listed at $1755. A gentleman, who seemed to be a manager, said he'd offer 75% off at $450, still insanely ridiculous. I replied that I was thinking closer to $50, which he audibly laughed at and became offended by. He claimed they were all hand-woven from India, after which he told another customer that they will throw all unsold rugs in the dumpster after closing. Such a waste of time. I worry for people that fall for this sale, as it makes total sense why they're going out of business.

If nothing goes bad, I suppose Horton's is fine, but if there's a problem, they're terrible. We bought a 2-piece set 2 months ago, in February. Within a matter of days the upholstery on the recliner proved defective. It was under warranty, so Horton's picked it up and sent it to their upholsterer. When it came back 10 days later, it looked fine initially, but within 48 hours, the same problem reappeared.Horton's was willing to send it back to the upholsterer or refund our money for the recliner if we returned it. Steve refused to let us return the couch, even though we the two pieces were purchased as a set. We wanted a SET. Anyway, we had our doubts about another "repair," so we elected to return the recliner. Now don't have a "set" anymore. We have a couch and we now have to find a coordinating recliner. And we're NOT HAPPY WITH HORTON'S!I had to deal with Steve on this issue. His customer service skills are sorely lacking. He was terrible. He was arrogant and snarky. I don't like it when someone talks down to me.We won't be back and we won't recommend them.Be advised, their Home Stretch brand has some design problems, so if you're looking at that brand and decide to buy it (bad decision), get the extended warranty. You'll need it. And good luck with Steve.

I received an advertisement regarding the inventory changeover for Horton's and thought I would quickly stop by. I was not impressed with the prices on the goods. Yes they had a lot to offer and look at but nothing with the style I like. In addition, they did carry a few items I noticed from other stores in town. They were super busy with the big sale they had which is ok because I like to look around and think about what I am looking for before being helped. If you like a more older look, country style check the place out. I like more clean up to date look which they didn't carry a lot of.

We bought a dual recliner less than a year ago for $940. One of the handles you pull on the side to make it recline broke about 6 months after purchasing it. They came out and replaced the part, it is made of plastic. Now it has been only ten months since purchase and both handles that you pull to recline are now broken. The recliner does not have hard use. There are only the two of us living in the house and it gets sat on in the evenings only usually. I would not recommend purchasing from Horton's, I will never again. For the price we paid the quality was poor.

Large selection, but not friendly service; pushy. Strange way to close out a business by allowing g customer to give them a price for items-

I bought my complete office furniture set in Oct. 2019. Within a year one corner of the desk started to show where it had been repaired. I should have but didn't fuss. Now four plus years later three drawer handle pulls have broken. The drawers are approx. 1/4 loaded with files, so they are not heavy. Horton's, Wichita Ks, where I purchased from, offers no help. Saying replacements are not available. The "pulls" are a special size, so now I'm stuck with an expensive set without handles. I will never buy from HORTONS or ASPEN HOMES again. BUYER BEWARE!

HOW are these people still in business?! They supposedly match price. BUT, NOT online prices, NOT on anything that both they and the other store don't have in stock, NOT unless its on a flyer or advertisement. Then, they try to tell me that the frame on 2 pieces of furniture, made by the same manufacturer, sold by them and a competitor are not equal in quality. Come on- there are grades of furniture sure, but the same piece from the same manufacturer is equal. Rude salespeople and managers- common sense isnt common at Hortons. Ugh. No thanks.

We purchased a $1400.00 couch from Horton's and it was in our living room about 3 months and hardly used. Last Christmas we had guests and when someone (medium sized adult) sat on the couch the whole bottom fell out. We had opted for the recommended insurance with the purchase price and promptly put in a claim. It is now 4 months later and we have gone through an incredible series of delays, mistakes, neglect, incompetence and "it"s not our problem" interactions with Horton's. Today the insurance co. finally offered two options - 1) keep the broken couch and accept a check for half the purchase price, or 2) accept an in-store credit and replace with another couch. We will NOT be accepting an in-store credit at Horton's after this really bad experience we have been through. We will not trust them again.
