One of the first things that makes me think I want to hire a company is customer service and one of the first opportunities they have to show good customer service is when I call to make an appointment. If the person who is answering the phone to make the appointment is rude and insensitive, then I will personally would not want to hire said company. The lady who answers the phone for this company was incredibly rude and didn't seem like she cared whether or not they had me as a customer or not. So I would not recommend this company. And I would certainly recommend they hire someone to answer the phone that is not only courteous but acts like they do in fact value your business.

Owner never emailed me a quote. When I called a week later to request it again she was very rude, said she didn't have time to do it and why would I want it and hung up on me. I am a landlord and I want to have quotes on paper before agreeing to pay for a service. I asked to speak to the owner of the company and it turns out the rude lady was the owner! I said I would be taking my business elsewhere!

My husband and I bought fireplace inserts and had them clean the fireplace and chimney in the years past until 2011 when an unfortunate event happened that had me upset & having to deal with many things which came up because of the event. I forgot we had scheduled a cleaning and went out of town. I called them and rescheduled and explained the situation. They told me they will not service our fireplace and they would send a bill for the service call. I was fine with the service call bill, which I expected, but to be dropped as an customer, well I just couldn't believe it. We will never speak well of the business nor purchase from them ever. I would suggest you do the same. I would suggest Lucky's Chimney Sweep.

Great service - timely and efficient. The technician was thorough and tidy. The scheduler was easy to work with and I appreciated the reminder calls.

Working with them started out great. They had an employee...Kyle...who was responsive and did good work for the initial work. It's getting the job completed that became difficult. I understand everyone is busy. But no contact and no follow up. When I do follow up they tell me they can't get the work done. Ok. Why didn't you just tell me that 3 weeks ago? And when I get frustrated....why are you mad at me? I just paid you a few thousand dollars and now have to start over.

They don't service anything. And even though they have service listed on their sign, don't order parts. They are the regional distributor for my brand of woodstove insert. They told me my unit was too old and parts weren't available. I contacted the manufacturer directly who told me that yes, they had my part available but I had to order it from their dealer. I went to the showroom in person this time and showed them a copy of my email from the manufacturer. This time they said again that they don't order parts. I asked how they service units without parts. No answer. Then they said they would ask the guy who did their service and would get back to me in a couple of weeks. For things like this my first choice is always brick and mortar. That having failed, 5 minutes on the internet and my part was on the way. And for $150 less than they would have charged. I'm doing the work myself thus saving the cost of the service call. These people are only interested in selling you a new unit. My advice is avoid them like the plague

I called to ask about making our old fireplace work again as a wood burner or otherwise. Bart spoke with me on the phone and explained up front that the inspection would be no charge. We made an appointment with him to come to our home and he was flexible on the timing. He met me on my only day off and explained what my options were, approximate costs, and that he had worked on my chimney with a previous owner back in 2004 and 2005. Bart was knowledgeable, on time for his appointment and very friendly. He gave me the information I needed and he did it so quickly that I now trust him as a professional in the industry. I will highly recommend him and this company to anyone in the market for chimney and fireplace work. Thank you Bart!!

In September 2018 I hired Home Safe Hearth and Chimney to come clean and inspect 2 of the 3 fireplaces in my home. We had recently moved in and I wanted to insure they were safe to use before winter. Someone came out to do the work which would take quite some time. When he finished he showed me several pictures from his iPad of what he had found. I was told that I would be receiving a report of what had been discovered and a plan of action for any repairs that may need to be completed. I was given the impression that there were a lot of issues with my fireplaces and chimney. I was recommended not to use them until all repairs had been completed. After the worker left my family and I went out of town for a night and upon returning the following evening I went into my bedroom where one of the fireplaces that had been serviced was, and smelled gas. I then went downstairs to the other fireplace serviced and also smelled gas. I promptly called the service man who had come to my house, he said that there hadn't been any gas leaking when he was at my home working on the fireplaces. He gave me no recommendation on what to do. I then called the gas company emergency line because of the gas leak, I had to evacuate my family and my pets from the home until he arrived. Once the gas service member arrived he confirmed that there were gas leaks in both fireplaces, and then repaired both leaks. The next day I called Home Safe Hearth & Chimney and left a message about the leaks we had experienced after their company had serviced both fireplaces. I was not upset with them whatsoever, and let them know I appreciated the work done but felt that it was important that they know that leaks had taken place immediately after they had worked in my home. I never received a phone call back, I never received any information about the work that was done in my home that I paid for, I never received any estimates for all of the supposed issues that my fireplaces and chimney had. They collected their money and pretended I was never a customer. After such an appalling non response from the company I began to question if any of the issues that had been brought up were even valid. After having 3 more companies come out and look at my fireplaces and make minor repairs I am getting ready to be able to use them...and for tens of thousands of dollars less than what I was told it would be. I would never recommend this company, I feel like I was treated poorly and was lied to.
