I am not someone who generally writes reviews however I think this time is different. My father went home from the hospital on hospice in the afternoon. I chose this company due to the reviews online and I am so so happy I did. The nurse came out late that afternoon and was there till 6:30. The nurse was out the following afternoon my father had declined even more. Our hospice nurse made arrangements to get a hospital bed that afternoon even though such short notice. Our meds had not been delivered and she left to get them so we would have comfort meds thru the night. She returned first thing the following morning and was there with us when my father passed. Despite some minor problems I just cannot recommend this company enough. My appreciation for what they did for my father and family is beyond wordss

The home nurses are amazing! I am a mom of triplets and they came out to administer a vaccine for all three. They were kind, informative and most of all loved the babies and the babies loved them! I really liked that 3 of them came to help explain everything and make the process faster. Thank you so much!

In March, 2018 I had a total left shoulder replacement. My first home health care agency discharged me 2 weeks after my surgery, saying Medicare did not allow home health to help a person with bathing. After my surgeon said I was ready for PT I called Home Health & Hospice of Kansas because I knew some of the staff. A nurse opened my "case" and the sent out a person to evaluate and treat. Brandi, a PT aide, was who came to my home for the first 2 weeks. I was experiencing a lot of pain while working with Brandi and while doing my exercises faithfully. Brandi could not resolve any issues, suggested exercises that were physically beyond by capabilities. So I called and asked for a new person, preferably a certified, physical therapist. Derek showed up at the end of the next week. By that time 3 weeks had passed since the surgeon ordered physical therapy. Derek said he was dept head of rehab at Home Health & Hospice of KS. Derek's philosophy is "no pain, no gain." He also places an emphasis on "you are older and so of course you are going to have pain." Eventually after I had more pain rather than less pain with physical therapy, I asked Derek how many total shoulder replacements had he rehabbed. Not too many. I asked what kind of rehab does he do. His comment was most for people in nursing homes who need general rehab. I called the agency and fired him as well as the agency. All my rehab had been in my home at no cost which was great. But I was in constant pain for weeks and months until I changed agencies and physical therapists. The rest of my rehab went really well with occasional pain. The therapist I had found creative alternative exercises that brought me back function and range of motion to my shoulder. I have been advised by my surgeon that I will never have 100% range of motion. I can do more than I ever dreamed possible now. Derek from my experience, does not qualify to rehab total shoulder replacements. I faithfully did and still do my exercises but would not have been able to improve had I continued with Derek. He answered phone calls while at my appt and he was constantly checking his home while he was in my home. I never felt I had his full attention. I regret my decision to use Home Health and Hospice personnel for rehab of my left shoulder.
