Nice room for a good price. Had everything I need for a good night night stay, a nice flat screen TV and comfortable bed.

Sometimes, it's late on the road and you just want to keep driving, so you do, making good time. You know you'll need a place to rest when the little numbers of the morning come. Most of all, you want to pull right up to your door and walk right in like at home. You want the feeling of fresh so when you lay down to rest, its clean. You know what I mean, no frayed edges. The sheets crisp, the mattress firm but not too hard and the pillows hold your dreams. You wake up, ready to do it again. Sometimes we might not notice what it takes to be a quality innkeeper, with so many motels this and hotels that. We highly recommend, for a great stay, the Great Western Inn, Junction City, Kansas. Our innkeeper, a five star gentlemen. Restored.

Clean rooms for a reasonable price. The rooms are basic but ours was very clean and comfortable. They have done updates. More modern bedding. If you are tall the shower heads are high, which is great. They offer smoking and non smoking. Don't judge book by its cover.

What a great little place. It's not the Ritz but it is clean and nice. The management and staff were super. Very accommodating and friendly! The shower heads were not really the best but a little updating should take care of that. All in all it was a great place... Especially considering the price. I have no complaints other than the shower heads and that is not really a deal breaker.

My family came from out of town to visit me and needed a hotel near by. I found Great Western Inn since it was close to where I was staying. We were a bit skeptical at first because we are originally from a big city and are use to modern and mainstream hotels. Since it were a short stay, they wanted something comfortable, clean and welcoming. No offense but at first glimpse, we assumed it was run-down and "hick-like". As soon as we walked inside the lobby we were completely WRONG!! Lesson learned! Do not judge a book by its cover. The owner and the staff gave us a warm welcome, very friendly and the room was PERFECT! You can tell they made major upgrades to the interior. We had no issues with sound or cleanliness. We had a non-smoking room so it was definitely a comfy environment for us. Thank you Great Western Inn. Because of the service and the previous experience from my mother and grandfather, my husband will be visiting soon and he will be staying at your hotel.

A great deal for the money. First off, the negatives: outside access door, but it was summer and the AC works great. The shower was cold, but workable. The decor is old, but every thing was superclean. The breakfast was only cereal and cheese danishes. They had coffee milk and orange juice. OK, the positives: the cost! We paid 50 total dollars. They let us have our three kids sleep in one room with us. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The room needed updating, but was superclean. The Wi-Fi worked great. They even had an iron and an ironing board on the wall & fridge. It is located right off of 70. They had flatscreen TV and cable with a lot of channels.

Just leaving the Great Western Inn in Junction City, KS. What a great experience!! We usually stay in Manhattan when in the area but some friends from Wichita were camping at Milford Lake which is nearby. There are many lodging options in this city next to Fort Riley. We chose an economy motel. Well, the rate was more than reasonable but the motel is beyond the economy level. The owner, Peter, bought the property which was a very tired place. He is doing a complete overhaul and remodel. He is doing a great job. Please don't shy away because of the economic reasonable status!Be sure and engage Peter in conversation. He is a very pleasant person! His staff is also on top of their game!

This is a great place to stay, at a GREAT price. The rooms are basic , but clean; recently renovated. Mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Free WiFi. Lots of cable channels. Nice lobby, complimentary breakfast in a nice dining space.Right off I-70, close to stores and restaurants. The owner is a really nice guy, and tries hard to be sure all his guests are pleased.
