Governeour Manor

I really enjoy these apartments! My roommate and I first moved here back in March, but had been in contact with the office much sooner because we were looking to move out of our old apartment complex. The staff were very professional, understanding, and very pleasant to talk to! Compared to our old place, they were just amazing! I have no complaints on our 2 bedroom apartment. When we moved I , everything was cleaned and ready to go and they did the walk through with us. Whatever maintenance issues we had, they were resolved fairly quickly even with the pandemic.The courtyard is always kept clean, our neighbors are wonderful :) I love this place and will continue to call it home!

I just wanted to pop in and say that these apartments when I tried to get a place with them a year ago screwed me out of $250, they told me I qualified for the apartment so I went and got my deposit into a money order for them. When I brought it to them they told me I DONT qualify and that I can reach out to the money order company to get my money back, well guess what that company NEVER gave me it back. So thanks for getting my hopes up and screwing me over. A year later and I still haven't gotten the money back. So be careful what you do this office. They'll probably play others like a fiddle too.****I would like to clarify that the lady I spoke with during my tour knew about my employment was actively looking at my information and told me I would be approved.So regardless if I was denied you need to consider what conversations are being had in the office itself. If your staff cannot evaluate someone's approval or denial then they shouldn't say anything until it's completed, that is simply giving false hope and isn't helping anyone involved in the situation.

I was looking to rent an apartment from Governeour manor, so I jumped through all their hoops and tons of paperwork. They said they wanted half the deposit upfront before we got approved. I was told "no worries, it's refundable if something comes up." I ended up finding a way better apartment (Southfield Apartments, look them up if you need a good place!) so I told Governeour manor that I will drop by to pick up my deposit. They replied that "After approval, the deposit isn't refundable." I was not made aware of that crucial little detail. I was also off-put because the office ladies were very pushy and were super eager to get me to sign a lease right away. (They must make commission) I got bad vibes from them and it turns out I was right. They are very shady. I would not recommend these apartments.

HORRIBLE APARTMENT MANAGERSFor the past few months me and my fiancé and 1 yr old daughter were harassed by the manager in charge, we weren't supposed to have pets in the apt so we got rid of them when told to do so; and since then we have been getting harassed, being told that there are daily complaints about a dog in our apartment, when there hasn't been in months. and have been given 2 notices for eviction so far. turns out that for the past 6 months the manager who has been giving us the eviction notices was assuming that the complaints were about us when they were about a totally different apartment the entire time. The manager even went so far as to lie and say that she had photographic evidence, but when requested to present the proof, she refused to do so.. These apartments are in dire need of new management.. There also is no privacy. the maintenance man, and the managers in the office walk in any time they want to.

If I could vote 0 stars, then I would. My fiancé, 1 year old daughter, and I all moved to Governeour Manor in mid-October. When we moved in, we did have 2 dogs at the apartment, but we were asked to remove them or put down the pet deposit (this was mid-November). I obliged and asked my mother if she could take them for me for the time being. Since then, I would get calls from the leasing manager telling me that someone from management had been making complaints that I have pets in my apartment and that they've seen me taking dogs out to potty. I would go into the office to pick up packages and she would still harass me by saying that I need to get rid of these non-existent pets or she was going to evict me. I had asked her if she was sure the person complaining had the correct apartment. She told me that she was absolutely sure and that there is even a picture of me with dogs in my house. I had asked to see the picture, but was told that I could not. On January 26th, an eviction notice was placed on my door without even listing a reason why I was being told to leave. I called down to the office and was informed that it was because I had pets in my house and had violated my lease. I told them that I have not had pets in my house for some time now and was told that the leasing manager would get back to me. In the meantime, I began to search for a new place to live and was set to sign a lease in the upcoming week. Finally, the leasing manager asked me to meet with her. She apologized to me because she issued an eviction for the wrong tenant. This picture that was supposed to be of me, had the apartment number listed on it and she realized that it was not mine, but had assumed that it was my apartment because we had pets in the apartment when were not supposed to at the beginning of our lease. This place is ridiculous. On top of that, the plumbing is terrible. We've had to have the maintenance man come in for the toilet flooding and leaking twice, the bathroom and kitchen sink not draining properly, and the garbage disposal not working properly. Also, they have to have exterminators come in every couple of months because of the roach situation throughout the complex. The exterminator that they have is very rude and sprayed all over our dishes that were in our cabinets. Yes, these apartments are budget-friendly, but it is not worth the harassment and the hassle.

i love my apartment! everyone is very friendly, clean buildings and carpet. staff if very helpful and friendly. pet friendly,and well maintenance.

HORRIBALE PLACE!!This apartment complex has illegal practices. In their studio building my daughter had an apartment on the lower level separated by the apartment next to her by the laundry room. She was constantly harassed by an elderly woman who lived there saying she was being too loud. One day when she got home from work she found the security guard standing in her door way. Scared she asked what was going on. He asked her if anyone was in her apartment and she told him no and opened the door so he could check. There was no one there but the lady made noise complaints coming from her apartment. They gave her a 30day to vacate because of the complaints coming from the lady, and on the final week she came home to an apartment book laying on the floor with a post it note on it that read "Only 7 days left"!! They violated her privacy and then after she moved out tried to keep her deposit because she accidentally left a box that was in the closet. I sent her back with quotes from the Kansas Legislature and they ended up giving back.
