Gourmet House in Holdrege is a hidden treasure. Sit down in their large super clean dining room or order to go. The owner is all about customer service! Our food was hot and delicious. We will be back!

My favorite Chinese restaurant! LOVE the wonton soup & the couple who own & work here! So kind & attentive!

I have had bad food before but I've never felt inclined to actually get on Yelp. The portions were so small and they price was so high and the food itself was terrible . The chicken so dry you can't even bite into it . The lo mein is questionable at best . The chicken and snow peas is sweet which I have had it in dozens of restaurants and it's never been sweet and I got all of five snow peas . I can go on and on about how terrible this restaurant is and I cannot stress enough to not waste your time to go there or your extensive amount of money for three bites of food . I complained to the manager and he said this is the size of food has been for 30 years . I bet the prices of went up though . Not only will I never go back again but I will voice my opinion to everybody about it . Unfortunately for the Gourmet House , I voice my opinion oh so very often .

Huge servings, always hot and fresh, most consistently friendly staff in town. Always ready inside 15 minutes no matter how busy they are. Mistakes are rare (over 100 entrees ordered, 1 mistake). I would recommend this place to anyone. Take out order system is convenient and kept them alive during pandemic, and also the only place/people I saw who consistently wore face masks properly! (including myself)

I'm shocked at the negative reviews about the food. I've always regarded the food as delicious, and I have had many different dishes here. The food is great, the owners are the sweetest older couple, and they're the only Chinese place for 30+ miles of Holdrege. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Gelatinous hot sour soup is never good and theirs was especially bad. I ordered China Hot Chicken. It had a distinctly antiseptic taste and was extremely unappetizing. I will strenuously resist returning to this poor example of so-called Chinese restaurant.The service was quick and attentive, though ,and my interactions with the staff were very pleasant.

Need more crab mixture in crab ragoons. Please try to put more in there other places do! But very good food

Best restaurant in holdrege!!! General tsos is my go to meal. It's always a hard choice between the egg drop and wanton because they're so good. Over best place for service. No glass is left empty.

Such a good place to eat they are so friendly and food is amazing brings such unique food to this area and I never leave there hungry and usually have plenty of left overs.
