Gerardo’s Restaurant

Absolutely love this place! I haven't had any item that was less than outstanding. Their weekend Menudo is some of the best I have ever tasted. It is full of flavor, packed with meat and served with plenty of cilantro, onions, tortillas, and limes on the side. No matter how busy he is in the kitchen, Gerardo always takes a few minutes to come say hi and express his gratitude for our patronage. Definitely try this place if you are looking for that authentic Mexican flavor.

Excellent food, great salsa bar and chips/tortillas! Very helpful service! Looked at reviews to make our decision for supper so wanted to add mine. Just spending one night in Wichita; would pick this place again!!

Salsa was on point and good was delicious! $1 asada, adovada and chicken tacos on Tuesdays! Asada burrito was a good size and was packed with meat! Done in with family or friends and a very clean place! Will def come again!

First experience at Gerardo's will definitely get me back in. Food was made fast and fresh. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito for a little over $4-- great price! The tortillas they use are delicious! There was a good ratio of bacon to egg to potatoes wrapped warmly inside. My friend got the chorizo breakfast platter and it was great as well; So much food for under $5! They served us up some fresh chips and salsa and I can happily say these were the best tortilla chips I've had in a very long time! We also really enjoyed their red and green sauces that were served with our food, but the red was the table favorite. They were open today at 8am for breakfast and stay open until 11pm. Glad to have a close by spot for my breakfast burrito addiction. Get ya some!!

Great food. The staff was great from the moment we arrived (both times we were there) until we left. We went on the opening day and our server was kind enough to endure my practicing my Spanish. Their food rivaled a nice priced sit down restaurant in both quality and taste but wasn't as pricey. We will definitely be going back. The large pineapple water was very reasonably priced and now one of my favorite drinks and one of their tacos came with a wedge of lime which was a great touch. If you like Mexican food I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed!

Absolutely! His wife makes the best tres leche cake. Salsa bar is fire and the service is great

We stopped in Gerardo's for a late lunch and were not disappointed! In fact I can't wait to go back and try a different menu item. I ordered a la carte, 2 tacos de birria. Excellent and I did not even need the consome. My friend ordered combination plate #5 the tostada and taco, served with rice beans and a drink of choice all for 10.99. The service was very good although it was not too crowded at the time. The ambiance is on point but the food definitely makes Gerardo's Restaurant a five star.

Ok, family and friends may have given this place their stars. Photos of food are NOT representative of what's served. People were friendly but we have had better food at street stands. Sure they mean well but, they need to serve better food. Neither of us eating there would give more than one star but, the people were polite.
