Gabby's Peruvian Restaurant & Catering

Called the day before from out of town to make a reservation for Friday night (also Valentine's); we weren't sure if the vibe would be 'fancy' enough for taking family out on V-Day, but we were all delighted with 1) linen tablecloths, 2) fresh, tasty food, 3) attentive and friendly waitstaff. I got the Peruvian paella; it was so tasty, and the portion was more than I could finish. We all ordered the purple corn & pineapple drink; it was sweet and refreshing, and again, came in large (20 oz?) portions. My husband ordered the steak with plantains & some potato-like fries, covered in cheese sauce. The steak, though thin, was very tender. The cheese sauce was really light and creamy, and we enjoyed trying the plantain & potato-like fries. My sister joined us, and by the end of the evening, was already making plans to visit Gabby's again. I'm sure we'll be back, when we're in town again. I ordered the lomi a lo macho.It was an excellent dish. The potato and plaintains on the side were nicely crispy and warm on the inside, seasoned beautifully. The lomo sauce was creamy, savory, garlicky and seasoned well. The steak was cooked to a nice medium rare and tender. The seafood was fresh and complimented the steak and sauce well. I think the green salsa and yellow aioli was also a great addition to the meal. Helped mix up the flavor profiles well!

For the first time ever, are used the surprise me function in yelp. It did not disappoint at all! It shows a five star restaurant with over 200 reviews. I had to try it!It was a Wednesday evening and very slow. Perfect time! I was warmly greeted by the wait staff and seated promptly. I ordered what the waitress recommended, and it was delicious! The jalapeño sauce had just enough heat in the meat was tender. I ordered a fine to go. The flan was one of the best I've ever had! Mine did not look like the one in another yelpers review with the cherries on top, but it was scrumptious nonetheless!I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that hasn't tried it yet!

I ordered my food to go since their place was packed, and after eating their food, I can definitely understand why they have a full house. They were quick with my order. While I was inside waiting for my order, the ambiance was simple and clean. I ordered their Arroz Mariscos and it was VERY tasty and they give you a heaping amount of it. Their yucca is a thick version of potatoes french fries. It paired well with their jalapeno sauce. Thick fries are not my preference, but the sauce heightens up the flavor for sure. 4/5 I've also had their plaintains, but I'd give that dish 3/5. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. Their ceviche was delicious and interesting. You can tell it's made fresh, but what makes it interesting is that they have a potatoe in it. Definitely not a bad thing. Just something different is all. Definitely a 4/5. The reason why one point was docked off is because it the shrimps were split in half and not chopped up. The potatoes was just one giant chunk. The sweet potato was in a giant chunk as well. The flavor overall, is YUMMY! Perhaps this is a personal preference, but most ceviches I've had are more chopped up.I would definitely go back and recommend everyone to try!

Absolutely fantastic. We loved it. Met Gabby. She is a sweetheart. The whole crew were great.

Absolutely fantastic! Most times Peruvian cuisine is a guarantee for good food, but then at restaurants there are a few other things to consider. Gabbys checks all the marks!Easy to get to location from downtown and almost every area as it is close to highway. Easy parking right next to restaurant.Upon walking in, the friendliness of the staff is noticeable. Then the service our waiter provided was top notch. Friendly, clear, fast and with a smile always.The ambiance is Latin feel and two big tvs show video of Peruvian travel, programs etc.The food portion and flavor and value knocks it out of the park! Full on excellent Loved the place!

Food is awesome, reasonably priced and portions are plentiful. This is not a fast food restaurant so expect to wait a little while for food that is made from fresh ingredients. The waiting staff is friendly and professional. They are very knowledgeable of the menu and how every dish is prepared. The restaurant is not located in the high end of town but I was very impressed on how clean it was inside with the simple elegance of real tablecloths and napkins on each table.

My companion and I had the Asado sandwich. Delicious! We also had the picarones (donuts with honey) for dessert. YUM!!Service was excellent!

Excellent food! Great service from a friendly and helpful waitress. It was our first time at a Peruvian restaurant, and she was very helpful by explaining and recommending dishes.
