Fusion by manuel

Not sure what to make of this place. Stopped by here on a weekend in early January. Place was deserted. Staff (assume owners?) were super friendly and nice to us. Pretty nice ambiance. That's about where it fell apart. The menu had some pretty cool sounding things on it - and being a "fusion" restaurant, there was some variety. From gyros to hummus, ramen to Pad Thai, and burgers to tortas.Settled for the Pad Thai and the falafel. Both were mediocre. The plates were filled and spilling over... the noodles were soggy and lacking in flavor. Way too much food also. I probably won't return.

Gem of a restaurant! Always on the lookout for great places to eat on the drive cross-country, and this is one to remember. The kids devoured their street corn and arepas. The tiger burger was perfectly cooked. The paella was absolutely fantastic. Manuel was so welcoming, and the service was quick! Definitely looking forward to revisiting this friendly and delicious restaurant. Next time, we'll ask how many pennies it took to make the floor!

Good spot with a patio and it is dog friendly (outside). Order inside. Typical (but good) diner food. We tried the sliders and the chili cheese dogs. The fries were outstanding BUT thank goodness the person taking our order asked if we wanted them with cinnamon and sugar. Uh, NO. I would stop again. The building is cool and there's a photo of the original site on the outside wall by the patio. I would return.

Well apparently today is their last day :( From out of town, wanted a light snack ordered a couple of Street Corn. Very reasonably priced but more important they were delicious with a bit spice. Other entrees looks good (big meaty wings, burger with what looked like a home made, seeded bun). I think Hays is going to miss this place!

My roommate and I stopped by here on a cross country trek, both cooks by trade for ~5 years. Before ordering we were admiring the building, decor and vibe of the building itself. The menu is varied but not massive, leading me to believe every individual item is made with care and skill by Manuel himself, who when he saw us came out to greet us and discuss the different menu items while we made up our minds. we ended up getting the tiger burger and gyro, as well as horchata to wash it down. Everything tasted very high quality and clean, from the drinks to the potato bun obviously made in house from scratch. Highly recommend for the food, the service and for a memorable experience while in town.

Went here when this place was a burger joint and the food was always cold, and the fries were always stale. It's in such a great location too which is a bummer. I'd also stay away around election season because they tend to fly big political banners which is strange. Went back to try them as a fish restaurant and the service was sub par. We waited for so long, and all the tables seemed to be covered in a layer of grime.

Wasn't sure what to expect in terms of food and prices, but it turned out to be amazing. Best food we've had in a long time! Would definitely recommend :)

My dining experience was not how I anticipated it to be. I debated on whether or not to write this review because i never have written a restaurant a review before but I figured I should let future patrons know what to expect when choosing to come to this establishment. When food quality doesn't match up with the prices, it can be disappointing for customers (especially since it was my graduation weekend). It's also unfortunate that the staffs mood affects the atmosphere and my families abilities to enjoy our celebration. Our family was uncomfortable due to the temperature of the building with all the windows/doors open. Hopefully, the restaurant can address these issues to provide a better dining experience for future patrons because I left this establishment very disappointed and will unlikely be coming back.
