Came upon the fact that there is actually a FLLW property in Wichita where the team was staying actually, and actually was able to make something happen actually and book a tour actually.I must applaud the flexibility of the staff. I booked an 11:30 tour as the 1pm only had 1 spot left. I called the morning and they allowed us to change and take the 1pm tour instead which allowed us to make everyone happy and take care of our responsibilities. Huge house with a lot of history - in terms of Wright homes, I would put this in the upper half of the ones we have toured. Lots of family history pieces and extra information included - though the other people taking the tour were so concerned with showing how intelligent they were in a falsified humble manner - it took away from the experience. Tour guide with the glasses and white hair was great. Informative and good natured all around. Another one off the list.

Every time I go to a new FLW I always say "this is my favorite one." I truly think - 'could I live here right now?' This one I would say yes. The gift shop is so little and that is fine but it is difficult to herd the guests and the tour guide we had was really knowledgable. The house is nice and I think the normal tour is the one people should opt for because it covers what you want anyway. The best part, they accommodated us last minute and I really appreciate that. I wish that the gift store had enamel pins :)

A great experience. We took one of the standard tours, 22-23 bucks, but unfortunately they do not allow you to take photos of the interior for that amount. We did our reservation last minute, and there were not that many tours available, but there is a more expensive (40 dollar) tour where you can take interior photos. The tour was an hour and a half. It is interesting, but I suppose you do need to be somewhat of a mild Frank Lloyd Wright fan to even be interested in the first place. My wife and I are fans, and we both enjoyed the tour, would definitely suggest it for Wright fans or architectural geeks.

Frank Lloyd Wrights was a genius of an architect .And the Allen House is yet another display of his brilliance . Such attention to detail. A man with vision and imagination. Ideas before it's time .The Picasso of architecture. The Allen family was lucky and wealthy enough to have one of Lloyd's works done for them . No indoor photos allowed to record the gorgeous woodwork craftsmanship. The tour guide was excellent. very detailed and informative. unfortunately, no photos allowed inside .

Wow! I am a FLW fan and have been to several houses including both Taliesin's and after living in Wichita for over four years I have to ask myself "why did I wait so long to come here?". We did the two hour tour and it was great. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The FLW gift shop is open to the public so be sure to stop by, even if you don't have the tour.

Totally cool restored Prairie style house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Owned by the governor of Kansas in 1918! If you're an architecture fan, you must tour this museum house.

The guide, Tyler, was very pleasant and very knowledgeable and informative and this amazing home. Take the time to visit if you are the least bit interested in design and architecture. It's beautiful! But if you want to take interior photos, you need to take the grand tour.

Allen house offers multiple types of tours, by appointment only. We recommend the "Grand Tour" if you want to learn about the house, Frank Lloyd Wright and the Allen House history in great detail. More importantly, this tour allows youTo take photographs for your personal use, and to see inside the tea house etc. the tour takes approx. 3 hours. We were Lucky enough to have Sonja Vogt as our docent and I have never met a lady with as much knowledge about her subject, and moreImportantly no one with her passion for the subject! I can assure you that although the price of the grand tour is the highest if you can devote the time, want photographs and to learn about the Allen House spending your time with Sonja is worth the price paid..

Don't come here! Terrible place. They are so strict and rude! The tour guide Bonnie was very condescending and disrespectful. I don't recommend this place at all. Waste of $23 dollars for admission. Total waste of money.
