A Wichita gem. Take a drop-in class here and get a taste of the fun and skills improv can bring to your life. The owner, Jessie Gray, is an amazing human and teacher. She meets people where they are. I have taken all the classes offered at Flying Pig as well as workshops. Taking improv classes with Jessie has helped me develop so many transferable skills for composure, relationships, and professional situations. I was also a member of the improv troupe Speak Easy for a while and found it great fun to play and perform with the troupe. I highly recommend you check out Flying Pig. Drop-in classes are only $10, the first class is free and there is no pressure to be funny. You just show up, be present, and funny will happen. A drop-in improv class can seem like a mini-vacation from the everyday chaos of life. You can be in a class and worrying about things outside class. It can be a great escape when you need one. Taking improv classes can help you to embrace mistake and learn to fail fast and get right back up. Mistakes are celebrated and that's a healthy thing for anyone trying to strive and live their best life.

Such a cool place! I went to the Saturday drop in class recently (first time is free), and had a great time. The people there were all friendly, funny, creative, and made me feel very welcome. I had zero experience with improv, but soon realized that did not matter. I felt like a kid going to a play date, except we were all adults! Game nights are so hard to coordinate, go to the Flying Pig and play with your new friends today!I went back that night to watch a show. I'd seen the famous improv show "Whose line is it anyway?" and although I like it, seeing it live in an intimate setting with an interactive audience was way better, funnier, more memorable, and cheaper than a night at the movies.

SUPER FUN time here tonight at the Improv Show. I'm an improv nerd, every city we go to we see an improv show: indy, Tampa, Jackson, etc. every so often fpi has improv on Friday or Saturday . Tix are $10 and they give you a nonalcoholic beverage. Seats are limited. We got there around 7:35 and felt good about picking our seats. We laughed a lot. They also do drop in classes on Saturdays around 11- I'm definitely going soon!

I had the opportunity to take a week-long improvisation course with Jessie Gray, and it was an amazing experience! It wasn't just all slapstick, puns and dirty jokes (though we did have a little bit of that!). We also got into some long form stuff, which was totally new for me. I really learned and grew in a lot of ways. This was just a start to my improv adventure that I'm looking forward to expanding from here!

I worked with Jessie in Oakland for several years - she's a thoughtful and alert player who brings her years of theater work to every performance. She can be dramatic, goofy, scary, sweet....whatever the moment requires, she's there, ready and waiting. As a teacher, she's both knowledgeable and articulate. She jumps right into every game and helps you march confidently off the cliff and into free-fall. She's compassionate, but firm and has a clear vision of how improv works when it's really going well. Beginner or expert, she'll help you learn to play better, have more fun and make your own creative statement. In short, she's a delight to play with and also a wonderful instructor. We were sorry to lose her

I recently signed up for a FREE Saturday drop in class and has so much fun I signed up for more classes. I have never done anything like this before but love trying out new things and stretching my mind. As a teacher, I have really benefited from learning to listen to what others are saying, responding in the moment and learning to edit my words. I highly recommend trying out a Saturday drop in class for anyone looking to have fun and learn something new. Bring a friend and give it a try!

Jessie is a true master of improv, and I encourage everyone who is either trying out improv for the first time or is a veteran player to seek her out. I played together with her at Pan Theater in Oakland as a beginner and learned so much from her. Our loss was Wichita's gain.
