Saw this mentioned on NPR and had to stop by on our road trip. Definitely worth a stop!Good beef. No sauce on burger but fresh veggies and onions were good. Minus points for a thick patty that was cooked too well, not medium like requested (needed to press the middle to keep it from swelling up when cooking).Good (garlic) fries although there wasn't any taste of garlic.Service was slow but friendly because this place was bustling.

This restaurant was recommended to us by Matthew at the Harvest Host Atlas Ad Astra! We are so glad he did. Everything we ate was delicious. The salads, steaks & pasta dishes were so very good. Our waitress Maddisyn (Maddie) was excellent! She checked in often to see if we needed anything. We got there right as it opened and as we were leaving it was packed. It was a nice setting with the tables far enough apart that it was easy to walk through them. Hope we can come back someday!

This place is so cool! Came in today for brunch and the steak and mushroom omelette was amazing. Taylor took great care of us. Their drink menu is very nice with many different options.

Food was fine, service was okay, and the beer was mediocre. I heard that wait times were long so we showed up early. We took a seat at the bar and a server took our drink order. We waited and waited. Finally I inquired where our drink order was. Turns out she was too young to serve alcohol and the cook had to pour the drinks. Beer was very harsh and overhopped. Stout was very good. Food was decent. Will return and try something else.

We decided to take the 1hr drive to Flyboys restaurant from Salina. We were a little worried about driving all that way without a reservation. I had called the restaurant to ask about wait times. They said during super busy times, Friday and Saturday nights, it could be hit or miss but if there is a wait it might only get up to maybe 20-30 mins but that's about it. I mean try and go somewhere in town (Salina/Hays/Wichita) and not have a 20 minute wait on a Fri/Sat night. We arrived about 7pm and there was a very nice crowd but no wait. The atmosphere was great, a quaint small town with an amazing restaurant on Main Street. The inside was just right, nice decor on the walls(mostly aviation stuff) but not too much where it's annoying or trying too hard(roadhouse look) and the noise was just right to still have a normal conversation over drinks. Our food was amazing! Two in our party had the special, Beef Stroganoff, and you could easily tell this was not some whipped together hamburger helper knock off. Several of the ingredients were locally sourced but all were made in house. The other two had Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and corn. In my opinion, this dish along with a basic hamburger tells a lot about your restaurant. If you can't make a basic hamburger then nothing else on the menu will be good. If you're stepping up your game and you raise the bar by putting a Chicken Fry on the menu then it better be good. It can not be frozen, must have a good ratio of meat to crunchy crust/breading, and the meat needs to be a good tenderized cut, not gristley and tough. Every restaurant says their chicken fry is "The Best"...I've found that most should just leave it off the menu. Flyboys however knocked it out of the park. The meat was perfect. The potatoes were creamy and fluffy. The corn was sweet and juicy. Lastly the gravy very nicely complimented it all. I'm a ketchup person but I definitely did not need to use the red stuff here; gravy all the way. There were a couple very small hiccups with our order but it was promptly and generously corrected. That part was very impressive. Overall the restaurant was phenomenal and the service was impressive.

The food was excellent. We had Sunday Brunch. I had a Chicken fried Steak and it was cooked and breaded just as I like it. The service was quick and friendly. They have done an excellent job remodeling an old building. We drove up from Wichita and we will come back

I just had the best ribeye in my life!! My husband and I eat steak everywhere we go and this is truly the best one!!! it is worth every penny. We was a little under dresse,but we just came from spending the day at the lake.
