Service was terrific from hostess to bartender to our fabulous server - in fact, if I had to take away any percentage points on rating, the food came out too fast, we were barely half way through salad course, when the entries arrived and unceremoniously dropped off (expeditor not our server). Food was wonderful, well-proportioned, colorful and flavorful. The atmosphere was "fine" - apersonal, nonoffensive, barely upscale, boring. Had a great Valentines Day! The balloons were a nice touch.

I didn't even really want to eat here, but my husband insisted it was good.I ordered the sirloin medium, took an hour for our food to come out. They kept giving us bread so we feel like we were getting something.My sirloin came out an hour later and I could barely cut into it. It was cutting into a boot. It was well done. So we sent it back because I could barely cut it which means I'd be barely able to chew it. And now waited another for a new steak to come out... which it never did. I also ordered a Caesar salad as a starter. It never came out. Wasted about 2.5 hours of my life. Literally just asked them to throw it in a doggy bag and I'll eat it at home. So annoyed. Will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Firebirds is a reliably solid American style cuisine national chain. I've visited locations across several states and they're dependably good. I typically go for their burgers, salads, and good bar areas.

As great place for dinner with a business counterpart. The start was Candied bacon Deviled Eggs. Came 6 to the plate but eating 3 was maybe just a bit much!My choice was the 7 oz filet and ordered medium rare- it came out perfect. I choose mixed vegetables and they were a nice compliment! The bread was fantastic! Light & airy and delivered hot to the table.

A unique experience in dining.Our service was excellent, food was very well prepared, served within a very reasonable time. The pork shank was prepared excellent, I abstained from giving it a 5 star rating because, although delicious, it lacked the intense flavor that I personally like. The cream brulee cheesecake was very good, again it misses a 5 star because of the crust. I'm very picky about giving my honest opinion.We ordered the ribs, which were very good, a steak which was very good as well, I did not taste the last 2 entrees but our friends gave them high marks.With so many options for places to eat in Wichita Kansas, not only would I recommend this restaurant, I plan to return.My friends gave high ratings to several drinks from the bar, our waitress did an excellent job with recommendations.

I order the Honey Garlic Chicken with fresh veggies and parmesan mashed potatoes! The chicken was in the drier but I didn't mind it. The service was swift. The lighting is dim and romantic. I really enjoyed the firebird private label Cabernet Savignon. Would definitely come again for the wine and ambiance.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton behind Firebirds to celebrate her birthday. We ordered a carryout meal of Ribeye, Baja shrimp pasta, lobster spinach queso, caesar salads, cider slaw and grilled carrots along with some drinks. Everything was excellent and ready quickly, aside from one disappointment. The Oscar style aged ribeye looked and smelled delicious, but upon cutting into it I realized that it was much too rare for my enjoyment, and my wife doesn't eat red meat. I'd ordered medium rare.I'm used to my ribeyes almost melting in my mouth from being so tender and easy to chew, while this had that tougher, rubbery feel of rare meat. After 2 bites and cutting into the center to make sure, I called them about it and was quickly transferred to a very friendly fellow named Cody, who I assume was the manager. He was very apologetic and offered to bring me a replacement steak right to my hotel room's door. We had plenty of food in front of us so I wasn't concerned about eating the rest of it while waiting for the steak. He confirmed that we were talking about a 16 oz oscar style ribeye on the phone and arrived with the food in about 20 minutes. The hotel may just be a short walk, but it was very good service. I expected to be returning the rare steak, so I tried to hand him the box, but he declined and handed me a freshly cooked steak. Upon opening it, I saw that he had comped an order of delicious asparagus, and that the steak was not a 16oz ribeye, but a 10oz cut that I believe was sirloin with another Oscar add-on. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and I enjoyed it, but it was disappointing to miss out on my once-a-year expensive, delicious ribeye splurge. I came down with a stomach bug (totally unrelated to this meal, I had my first hint of fever the morning of) that has left me unable to keep rich food down, so I unfortunately didn't even get to enjoy it as leftovers. Aside from the steak, it was a delicious carry-out meal. If not for the fever, we would have dined in, and I wonder if the resolution would have been the same if it could have been observed at the table that I'd only taken a couple of bites and that it was definitely undercooked. The service was top-notch, though I feel the communication could have been better about the replacement steak.
