Express Inn & Suites

We made a reservation and ended up coming in during their "quiet hours". This is understandable, but having made a reservation, we were tired and ready for bed...except there was no staff there to check us in. We rung the bell multiple times and called, but no one came. They also expect me to pay for "not cancelling my reservation" but since they were the ones unavailable, I shouldn't have to pay what I didn't get. Your only job is to work night shift, not sleep when potential customers come in.

For $50 with tax it was worth it. 5 stars because of the friendly service and price. Of course, it was no luxury hotel, but it was pretty clean. The pool was closed & it looked like it wasn't going to open anytime soon. We stayed on our way to Denver and again on our way back. Great bar & grill (Ike's) right next door. We will stay whenever we go that way again.

What we saw was not what we got and because of an error:miscommunication between the booking app and the property. The owner threatened to have my husband arrested! Wouldn't even take part in an adult conversation to correct the error. The kid that checked us in even tried to explain that we hadn't done anything wrong, and the owner literally yelled at him to go to his room! Outrageous! This place was absolutely disgusting!!! Filthy, no other words can describe how nasty this place was. Covered in mold and mildew, and inches thick dust. Holes in the floors. No hot water, uncomfortable outdated beds, refrigerator didn't work and there wasn't even a microwave. I went down periodically for the 24 hr coffee that didn't exist, no breakfast or pool either. My entire family got sick from our stay and one of my pets subsequently died. If you need a cheap place to stay I encourage you to look elsewhere. The owner practically stalked my family and his actions were far past appalling. It goes deeper than I've even written. We're a military family and we're moving on orders at a time when nothing was available anywhere. We wanted to leave desperately, but it was an event weekend and had no other choice.

If I could choose 0 stars, I would. This motel completely ruined a family visit from some of our out of town relatives who had reservations for 2 rooms. And ended up having to drive 2 1/2 hours home after a full day of activities, Upon arriving in town, they went to the motel and confirmed their reservation (at 8:15 am) before heading out to enjoy the day. They were told that their rooms would be ready when they were done for the day. When they returned to the motel that evening, the rude and aggressive motel clerk told them that they did not have reservations. They explained that they had already been there that morning and confirmed their rooms. But all that did is make the clerk more upset and aggressive. They ended up trying (without any help whatsoever from the motel) to find other rooms in town. But because of a home K-State football game, there were no rooms available. So they loaded up the upset and crying kids and drove home. It is one thing to have messed up the reservation and not have it on record. But to confirm the reservation in person, and then not honor it when they returned later that day to check in is totally unacceptable. If you make reservation at this motel, (which I would discourage greatly) DO NOT PLAN ON HAVING A ROOM WHEN YOU GET THERE!!!
