Where to start.. Wedding planning can be hectic and Events and Design by Ashley comes fairly highly recommended, so seems to be a good start. Wrong!!! We had a horrible experience and would caution anyone working with them in the future. To start:Horrible communication and putting the client first. We had an awful time getting our wedding planner to help us or guide us, and pushed off our meeting with them for 4 months.. 4 MONTHS!! We tried contacting Ashley herself, since she is the owner to help us out and make things right. After multiple phone calls and emails for over a month, we finally got an email reply, didn't even have the decency to ever even call us or here from us and what was wrong. At this point we were over it and wanted our money back and out of our contract, because after 4 months, we essentially did everything ourselves we were paying them to do. She then tried to charge us $75/hr which isn't even in the contract, and would not even negotiate to within reason and was trying to pad her hours. It was so bad we had to go to court over it because she was that unreasonable, and still never returned a phone call or even apologized.On top of this, look at the contract with them carefully. They are very shallow about what they won't do for you, but even in the contract if it says they will perform services, ie help get vendors and secure contracts, they will not help and will say they do not do this even though it is in their contract. Also, what kind of company wants to charge multiple thousands of dollars, and will say in their contract we will only meet a maximum of 3 times, will not bring anything to the wedding, pick anything up if it is forgotten on wedding day, essentially won't do anything. The list of what they will not do is longer than the list of what they will do.My rant could go on for much longer for how poor and shady this company is. Would 10/10 not recommend under any circumstance. I get issues can happen and the ball can get dropped on someone. We were most disappointed when we reached out to Ashley, the owner, how she dropped the ball and would not even get back to us for a month. When she did get back, it was extremely rude and was unreasonable, nor did she ever want to resolve things. Not the kind of person you want to do business with.
