OMG what a fantastic evening! I'm more autistic than artistic but I just got done painting a masterpiece (in my own mind) tonight. For the cost of the sculpture ($6 in my case) + $7 for use of paint, brushes, etc. you too can create a masterpiece!I took a very large chalice, picked out a bunch of paint colors and spent a very quick 2hrs making it perfect. When finished I put on a clear coat and the owner will be baking it for me. Very cool evening!

What an amazing local gem in wichita. I think I have found my new found hobby other then casual painting. They allow you to call in advance or even just show up to paint. If your looking for something very relaxing you should try this place sometime. It is a local business that has been kept operating in the family from generation to generation and they have done well providing a great service to your local schools and others they provide ceramics for. Best part is, if you want to stop by and just paint away for the day you can. They do have some normal business hours which make it difficult for those like me to enjoy them after 5 pm M-F but they are open on Saturday bright and early and through the afternoon so take advantage of a Saturday here or stroll on by during the day time on a weekday. I plan to continue my visits here and sent some other friends as well who also said they had a great time. They didn't know what to expect, but once all was done they were happy with the experience as well. Glad to know one of the largest ceramics suppliers is right here in our local town.

I found out about Evans Ceramic Supply while searching online one day. I went in and walked through and checked it out. Then the next day I took my kids for the first time. They had a blast. The staff was nice, and helpful. There is lots and lots of selection! We weren't stuck with a time limit to paint within. Myself and my daughter are too much into details to go to places with time limits for painting/projects. The prices are family friendly Such good prices I could easily tell my kids to pick any item they wanted, instead of having to guide them towards stuff I could afford. I met some routine customers while there, who were also friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Evan's Ceramics is one of Wichita's few redeeming features for me. Where do I even begin...First, if you want to paint ceramics, this is THE place to go. You can get greenware or bisque (hope those are the right terms - I'm definitely not an expert, just a girl who likes to paint), and you can paint right in the store if you want. If you choose to paint in the store you pay a $7 painting fee, which is totally reasonable when you consider all the paints and paintbrushes you get to use, plus that also includes firing of your piece, and you don't have to clean up afterwards! The selection of pieces to paint is MASSIVE. I can't do it justice. Mugs of all shapes and sizes, plates, ornaments, knick knacks, nativity scenes, jack-o-lanterns, Easter eggs... you name it, they have it! Which makes sense, because they also own a company which is attached to the Evan's Ceramics Supply building that makes molds!Aside from ceramics to paint, they have a ton of other supplies that anyone working with clay might need. I've never really used that portion, but when I'm painting there I see lots of people come in, especially teachers. You can buy paints/glazes, clay, porcelain, brushes, various types of tools... even pottery wheels and little kilns. Finally, the owner (I'm assuming) is wonderful. He's super cool and helpful. I brought my friend's three daughters here and he brought them back and showed them the kilns, told them how the pieces are fired and how hot the kilns get.. It was great! The girls loved it. I appreciate the other workers too. They're always so helpful and awesome. Don't change!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Don is so patient and kind while explaining the art of clay, greenware, bisque, glazing, and so much more. Cindy is wonderful, thoughtful, and caring. She will help you pick out pieces, teach you how to get the best product, how to use the glazes, or anything else needed to create a beautiful piece. They make it easy to become addicted to the art. :)

I was yelled at because I didn't have time to listen to you're employee and never raised my voice back. When I asked for the owner to complain I was lied to and told she was the owner and to get out. I was the one bullied!!
