Equity Builders

Equity Builders put a new roof on my home. It was okay, but the guttering was not installed correctly. There was a large gap between the gutter and the roof. This resulted in moisture going into the fascia and soffit and rotting it. All my fascia and soffit was rotted out and needed to be replaced. I called Equity Builders numerous times and asked them to reinstall the guttering correctly. They always said they would fix it every time I called, but they never did. It was a bad deal and I would never use them again.

Duane of Equity Builders gave me an estimate and then when I followed up on work no yet completed he claimed two items were not part of the deal and had subcontractors come out to give me new estimates. He also claimed one of the items was supposed to be completed one way and not how we had discussed. He tried to act like women can't remember conversations with builders. I will not use his company or his subcontractors again.

They did a terrible job on my roof, it looks bad, a lot of the shingles are not laying down, some of them are sticking up 3/8" to 1/2". They installed the drip edge incorrectly as well. When I called them out to look at it they said it was fine, and said if the shingles blew of they would come fix them. Their are also over a dozen exposed nails on top of the shingles, it looks like they tried to nail down some of the shingles that were sticking up. They also knocked multiple holes in the decking and did not fix them. Do not use Equity Builders, use someone that cares about the quality of their work.

Equity BUilders installed a skylight that had a faulty design. I let them know and they came out several times and tried several things to fix the issue and finally replaced the skylight with a new one. The new one is perfect and I could not be happier. The installers, Charlotte, the receptionist, Brett and Todd all did an exceptional job of being patient with my complaints and listening to a very unique issue. They never minimized my dissatisfaction or made me feel like a pest. They treated me respectfully and were absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend the work they did and their follow up service was above and beyond!!
