El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant

Loved their food! Queso dip is amazing! I always enjoyed ordering takeout from here as they were quick and when I got home the food was still good.

Al pastor tacos with arroz and frijoles! I also tried the queso with flour chips. (I have had better) but the tacos, rice, and beans did not disappoint. Delish, and you know it's a great authentic Mexican eatery when there's 10+ people waiting on a Friday evening. It gets busy on Friday evenings so come prepared, you can probably call and make a reservation in advance.

Eric R. loves this place so we come a lot. It is a very popular spot in town too, especially when there are $1 margarita nights. We share the molcajete El Tapatio, which has skirt steak, chicken, shrimp, nopales, queso, grilled jalapeno, and grilled onions in a spicy salsa with tortillas on the side. It also includes chorizo which we get on the side since I do not eat pork. Chips and salsa are plentiful and free, and you can request a spicier salsa too. It is A-OK - I go to make sure my husband is happy since he loves Mexican food.

This was so delicious. The waitress was super nice. The meat was so flavorful. Salsa was okay wish it was spicy but cheese dip was good. Definitely coming back.

First off had to move to another booth because their seats were ripped and was very uncomfortable in shorts. Salsa had little no flavor and the queso was ok. Margarita was a giant glass of lime juice. I had the chicken chimichanga and it had little to no flavor except for the queso they smothered it in. Almost tasted like they used can chicken. Place was very dirty and seats were ripped. Would not recommend this place at all. And definitely not authentic Mexican food.

So I'm originally from Virginia and I had one place in particular that I would always go to eat Mexican food, a hole in the wall that was as authentic as you can get. I recently moved here to Manhattan Kansas and tried this place out because we saw the reviews. Well to cut to the point my husbands dad is Mexican and he grew up with authentic Mexican, the food disgusted him. He ordered a seafood option and everything was rubbery and lacked any pop of flavor, I ordered a burrito and somehow this poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant messed that up too with lack of flavor and a dry experience to say the least. Even the chips seemed to be from a bag they just bought at the closest grocery store and watery cheese dip to boot. Please don't come here it will only be a waste of your time and money!

Tip: you know it's excellent when you don't have to add any salt or pepper to your food. Not the case here, bring your own spices. Their food is okay, nothing to write about, just bland. BUT they do have really great service the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. So if you enjoy bland Mexican food you will love this place!

The food was delicious Marta, our waitress was pleasant and friendly.My wife and best friend we all have lived in Mexico.The food was of good quality very savory and authenti. The portions were ample. The boothswe sat in we're comfortable. Tofind Nopal (prickly pear) cactusgrilled w/ chorizo , camarones chicken and skirt steak all in onewas a delight. The cook delivered a great many delight. We will return

Bad service. Flys everywhere. Dirty floors and dirty tables. The food wasn't to bad but not the best. They have no respect.

i came here with my family and unfortunately it was not the best experience. the food was okay. service was okay. atmosphere was bad. however, i got food poisoning from the tacos and have been sick for the past few days. wouldn't recommend coming here.
