El Rancho Viejo

A great place to get exceptional Hispanic food. I like my dishes spicy and they made my chile Verde very spicy. The owner came and talked to us and checked on us throughout the meal. Overall, a solid place to get above average Hispanic food that has a touch of family flair to it.

Fantastic food!!!We are here visiting from Houston and are quite accustomed to the quality of Mexican food there so we were very pleasantly surprised at the food at El Rancho Viejo.I had beef fajitas,my daughter had chicken fajitas, wife had a chicken burrito, mom had pollo feliz, and grandson had a kids meal burrito. All of it was top notch!We had flan as well as churros with fried ice cream for dessert, again very tasty.The service was a touch slow but very friendly.Prices are very good and you get plenty of food.We will definitely be eating here on our next trip to Council Grove.

Great menu. Chips were warm and Salsa is great. Asked for Hot salsa it it was pleasantly warm. Food was amazing. I consider my self to me a food snob and was very pleasantly surprised. We will be back often and I suggest everyone that has not eaten here to come and enjoy!

I'd say, yea, I did t have to cook. The food was ok, service was good and the place was clean.

Great. Every one was very happy with their meal. Primo burrito, chicken chimichanga. Wish I lived closer, but I'm in the area from time to time. My new council groove go to.

The food is awesome! Especially love the cheese steak and the mango margaritas!! Service is great and food is delivered quickly.

I had fajitas and my wife had a burrito. We both agreed that the food was just average but the staff was very friendly.

Great Mexican food, great prices! Puffy tacos (flour tortilla shells), smothered burrito, salsa are some of our favorites. We live in KC but vacation at Council Grove lake and we never miss this place when we visit!
