el Patio Mexican restaurant

I'm batting on 0 today for Mexican food. The first place I went to was closed at 3:30pm and didn't open back up til 4:30pm. I was starving so I checked into my hotel and was referred to a place around the corner. When I arrived and entered l, I'd say about 6 waiters where just sitting at the entrance talking and the hostess was very friendly and immediately started talking with us. I joked "they were waiting on us." Once we got tables the waiter from hell, Nanum with the sly smile but very not interested in serving us. First, be patient when newbies come into your establishment and know something about the menu. I wanted to ask a question and despite his area being slow (only customer) he moved away quickly. I literally had to get eye contact with him to ask a question. The other thing, don't say "I dont know" to everything. At least go get the answers. Food: food came out hot and was average. The margarita tasted like strawberry kool aid. I gave this place a 1 because they seemed friendly with customers they knew, also the food came out hot. Everything else was in adequate. This was my first time and last time visiting this establishment.

My family and I happened to be traveling through Ponca City and decided to find somewhere to eat for Cinco de Mayo. They had great drinks and amazing food! We got the sales verde pork burrito and it was so good! My son got steak Street tacos and they had so much meat in them. My daughter got the kids taco and it was also loaded with tons of meat and toppings. Would definitely go back here again if we are ever in the area.

In an area with alot of really solid Mexican cuisine I'm a really big fan of El Patio.For starters the service is efficient and friendly.Next up - they make an incredibly good margarita. I had the Texas style OTR and it was amazing, BUT they are incredibly potent so be careful.They also have Yueng on draft so double winner.Their chips were served warm and delicious. I'd have preferred a little seasoning salt or salted but they were good. Their salsa was great and for a guy who hates cilantro it was perfect (no cilantro).The carnitas are among the best I've had and the rice and beans are both worth the carbs.Yum!!

Same overall great rating. went back again to watch the Thursday night football in the bar, in my previous posting I mentioned what a wonderfully friendly place it was and I have to say I've never felt more welcomed to a restaurant in my life. people were wonderfully warm there was paying it forward going on again I have never felt more welcomed in a restaurant ever and I'm simply visiting here from out of town, rest assured every time I'm in town I'll be eating here. BTW guac is awesome, and the chile rellenos were outstanding.

Great place for dinner! Food was on point and the micheladas were excellent! The place was packed but everything flowed nicely. Staff were OK, not the friendliest but they did a good job which is the most important thing

My kids and I came to Ponca City for a basketball game. We decided to try out El Patio and I didn't disappoint. It's one of the best Mexican restaurants we've been to in a long time. I brought leftovers home and my husband at them and said he was either really hungry or that food was awesome. I said it was awesome.

It was finally a nice day and we really wanted to find a place where we could eat outside. El Patio is the only place in Ponca where a person can do that. I got a combination dish with a taco and a Chile relleno. The meat on my taco was the most flavorless ground beef I've had in my life. To be honest, it didn't even taste like hamburger meat. I don't know what it was, but the meat was so chopped up, it's like they put it in the food processor. Really gross with zero flavor. And the Chile relleno had no flavor and I'm pretty sure they got it out of the freezer and nuked it. A huge ripoff, and will never be back. I gave it 2 stars for the outdoor eating, the food warrants zero stars. There's too many good Mexican places around here to go to El Patio. Skip it!Taco Bell is way better even!

Drove by this place several times and have never stopped before. Today I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was pretty good, other members of my party ordered a taco salad and a cheesesteak burrito both said that theirs was good.

I like this restaurant 10/10. traveling for work coming here every other day delicious food. You can order anything you won't miss-wind tech approved

Waited almost 2 hours before we were served. Food wasn't that good, nothing but excuses about why it took so long, won't be back
