El Maya

Came in here around 3:30 pm on a Saturday and it was very slow. I ordered the tacos Al pastor and mostly enjoyed them but I couldn't finish my plate because they were so salty. The rest of the food was great. The restaurant itself is really cool inside and very large. Our service was pretty quick at first but then we were kinda left alone for a long time after we got our food. Only got more chips because we caught our server walking past and then had to hunt her down to find out how we pay. That was frustrating since it was so slow and we were ready to leave. Chips + Queso + Salsa = 10/10Jumbo margarita = 10/10Guacamole salad = 10/10

This was the best Mexican restaurant I have ever ate at until their queso just wasn't good any more but I definitely still recommend the food is amazing, the service is just top level, and the place is so nice and tidy.

Bad food and worse service. Ordered a tamale, it came covered in bland pasta sauce. The waitress was very rough and very rude.

Cute restaurant (inside) with good food, great prices, a casual atmosphere, and good service. We ate here while visiting NWOSU and were very pleased with the food and service. Not much "curb appeal" but don't let that deter you.

We wanted to take my son out to eat on Easter since he is a student at nwosu. There's not a lot of choices in Alva, and every place was shut down for the Easter holiday. That is, every one except El Maya. So thankful for them being open so we could take my son out for Easter. The food was delicious. I got Pollo con queso and it was great! We loved the chips and salsa too. Thank you El Maya!!

We were delightfully surprised when there was a vegetarian dinner on the menu. Excellent. I had the "Jam Packed Burrito" my 25 y/o had the vegetarian dinner and 21 y/o had the "Enchilada Supreme".

Absolutely amazing food. I eat Mexican food everywhere we travel and this is the place I look forward to eating. Excellent food, excellent customer service, and great drinks. If you are ever in the area stop here and eat you will not be sorry.

The food was great and the server was on top of her game. Several of us ordered different variations of the Pollo Con Queso. I added bell pepper to mine. The Carne Asada tacos (I think that's what they were called) looked good. One co worker ordered from the kids menu. The salsa wasn't really my favorite, it was a little too sweet for me. Everything else though, fabulous!

Worse than cafeteria food not real Mexican food the enchilada red sauce was just tomato sauce the beef was terrible

El Maya molcajete is divine. By far my favorite menu item. It comes in a boiling hot stone cauldron and consists of steak, chicken, shrimp, green, red, and yellow peppers, and onions in a delicious special sauce topped with cheese and pico de gallo. Pairs great with a strawberry frozen margarita.
