Excellent man made lake with plenty of camping locations. The lake has great fishing and multiple docks.

We visited this Park while passing through on our way back to Fort Worth. It had just rained so the lake had flooded many of the sites and standing water was everywhere. That's just how it happens! Nature tends to take over sometimes and there nothing they could do to prevent it. We ended up finding a camping spot for our tent that wasn't too flooded, yet close to the outhouse. It was pretty quiet, even being close to the train tracks didn't bother us that much. The outhouse was a bit dirty as you can imagine the rain probably added to it, but we were just grateful for a hole to relieve ourselves! There are plenty of spaces to camp, the cost is about $21/night I believe. And since the office is closed on the weekends, you have to pay by cash or check and drop it in the box by the office. The camp site we wanted were walkup only so we just drove around until we got the place we wanted to camp for the night. No issues! I'm sure in the summer it's gorgeous!

Another Kansas State Park. The trails here are mostly prairie grass, with some rocky areas. Not hard to do at all, just trails though. Lots of camping and cabins available with boating docks, if you are out in the area a pretty fine State Park.

The park and lake are beautiful. Shower houses are nice however the floors are covered in trash. The primitive bathroom is disgusting more bugs can be found living in there than outside. The floors are covered in debris and grass from more than a week ago. The wooden toilet seats are falling apart and home nearly every insect Kansas has to offer. With the overwhelming number of camp host and their five-plus family members sitting around all day one would think the place would be tidy. Overall I would give it another try after scoping out the bathrooms or bringing my own.

We stayed at Boulder Bluff Campground 2 and I can not believe how much of a waste of money it was. This park is infested with bugs and mosquitos, we couldn't even turn on a flashlight without getting attacked by a swarm. The bathrooms are also infested with bugs and the showers don't have any sort of curtain. There aren't any entertainment options what so ever unless you want to swim in a lake that has sharp rocks and glass at the bottom that cut your feet and hands. Overall, it was a miserable experience and I would highly advise finding other options if you're considering a visit.
