While visiting my hometown I'll visit some high school buddies and yes I still keep in with a handful of guys, let's just say we were the "gear heads" of our class and were identified by the cars we drove, mine was a hot rod '56 Chevy My HS buddy couldn't make the get together later that night so I drove over for breakfast which landed us here, more of an early lunch than breakfast but even though the food was good the company was better and having friends is worth the travel, Minden isn't far from Kearney and the country drive just added to my vacation

Really good again. Mex Coke here which is usually good indicator of good Mex foods. Chili Releno and Taco Salad. All real good. And quick to our table.

This is probably the only Mexican restaurant in Minden so right at the get go, I was skeptical. Hubby's hometown is 30 mins away and we're meeting up with his childhood best buddy and the family here for dinner. Of course, coming from Texas, I have my "standards" but this place actually wasn't terribly bad (food-wise, service-wise). My kids had chimichangas, hubby got a beef and rice plate and I got the birrias. My boys and hubby liked their meals. The complimentary chips were also really good (served warm). My birria is more like a regular taco. I'm not sure if there's several kinds of birria but I'm used to crispy birria. This one isn't. I also tried my son's side of salad with guacamole and that one was extremely salty. Also, it's repulsive smelling the toilet cleaner as soon as you enter the door. It's good that they're making sure the toilets are clean. But maaaannnn... they need to go easy on the cleaners. It's like being slapped good in the face with that strong whiff of cleaner smell as soon as you get it!

This is the home of the World's Worst Taco. I was attending a business lunch at this restaurant in January 2023. There were about ten I our group. I got the Lunch Combo 5, burrito, taco and rice. I was shocked by how bad the taco was. The shell was cold and stiff and there was less than one teaspoon of flavorless ground beef in the bottom buried under lettuce. The dish also came with a ground beef burrito which, no doubt, was frozen five minutes earlier. I know this a small town, but you got to do better than this place.

Wow. Seriously WOW. Probably the best Mexican food that I have had in 15 years. Completely authentic in every sense. I had the enchilada, rellano, beans & rice combo. Cleaned my plate which rarely happens. Do not miss this spot!!

Good quick Mexican food, as one local put it. Best place in town for a fast bite to eat without hitting a fast food joint. He was on par. I love Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint especially for such a small town. So many options off of the menu. Food portions weren't oversized, but then again I ordered from the lunch menu. My one beef with the menu is that a lot of the dishes are rice OR beans. Honestly I want both! That's ok though. They allowed me to sub beef for beans in my taco when I got a combo plate. The cheese is a little heavy though. But still good. Chips and salsa are standard. Salsa isn't amazing, but still hits the spot. I did appreciate we got a small 1/4 litter size vase full of Salas and our own individual salsa dish. I can finally double dip without having to worry about everyone else. Service was fine. Apparently they are super fast when it's busy. So don't be shy on a busy day. Parking is ample with street parking outside the restaurant. Bathroom is small, but it's clean. I couldn't partake in the margaritas, but they seem to have a fine selection of drinks. Check out the menu picture I posted. If I'm in Minden, I will go again.

Please overlook the outside entrance. Once you are inside, it is very colorful and the food is delicious. Waiter was very attentive. Reasonably priced.

We are from about 2&1/2 hours away, were there at the museum, and thought we would try something local. Seems to be the only place in town. We were very happy that we did. Their food is very good.

We were pleasantly surprised. There were 8 of us and they had tables for 8 available without waiting to be set up. The service was exceptional - fast and courteous. The food and drinks came out almost immediately. As such, I wasn't expecting much in the food department but everyone was pleased with their dishes. The margaritas come in several sizes and were very good. Thus will be our go to place when we return or pass through Minden! 5 stars for service and 4 for food overall (good Mexican but not the best I've had).
